Any livestreams of Seth Jones destroying 15 year olds in Portland?

A quick google search shows that you shouldn't get your hopes up...he died like 94 years ago man. Move on.

I'm just saying its the equivalent of me bashing Crosby and Malkin for being terrible at forchecking.

I mean, it wasn't my comment, and I don't really agree with it necessarily. I've seen him be both great and not so great on D...which is true of every single hockey player I've watched for more than 3 games. And Sid and Geno are beasts at forechecking 76.998% of the time :)

Wingers and centers have totally different defensive roles. It's like comparing a cornerback to a mike linebacker for man coverage. It is just annoying when people do it.

I was just discussing this with a guy the other day (talking about C/W roles, etc.) during our IM hockey game. Guys really think I don't understand the game...it's infuriating sometimes. The guy played through middle school, so therefore knew more. Nice enough of a guy, but told me that my stick check was a penalty. Uhhh, not in real hockey. You're 100% allowed to use your stick to lift another players stick. That's also the play that a guy dropped an f-bomb on me. Yes, I do go to a Jesus school.

FTR, I'm not questioning or doubting you. You know your stuff. I'm commenting on the tweet or comment from the press guys. I get just as mad when people bash a 4-3 DE for not having a ton of tackles. He's not supposed to. Ha ha.

I know, I just wanted to tell my pitiful tale. I did have a 6 point night that night...even if our top scorer had 5 goals in 90 seconds after we "let him out" of the goal at last.

Two things. First: Yeah, Erskine's gonna get sat for that elbow. Unfortunately, losing Simmonds possibly cost us this game, and if Erskine gets one game, the Penguins get to play a shortened Caps, and if he gets three, the Pens get them TWICE. So yeah, fuck us every which way.

Second: Have the Flyers had a breakaway yet this year? Because I've seen us give up a bunch, but not get very many.

Saw the replay and Erskine definitely deserves 2-3 games for that. Erskine has played a lot of games and is a very physical player but has never done something like that before. I really believe there was no actual malice to it but he it was more a reaction to him realizing he was gonna get beat there. Still, it should have been a penalty at the time and should be a suspension. I still won't consider him a dirty player after this one incident though, because of his history as a stand up player.

It should've been a five minute major for elbowing and a ten minute game misconduct regardless of intent. This is just an extension of the way the Flyers are playing right now though. If you don't put forth the effort, you're not going to get the "lucky" bounces/calls.

Hockey not played in slow motion. I thought Erskine simply was trying not get beat on breakaway after Simmonds chipped puck #dontcarewhowins

Trying not to get beat is exactly what he was trying to do, but why in the world does that make throwing out your elbow okay?
