Tallon also said the Panthers' most prominent free-agent defenseman, Jason Garrison, has been offered a contract and that while he is "optimistic,'' intimated that the franchise has plenty of young, talented defensemen to take his place if they had to.

I heard a rumor that the Flyers do have a deal in place to resign Carle, but have to wait until the new CBA is done. Not sure how true it is? It would nice to have this done before July 1st.

If Parise wants to be "the guy", then he should be going to Minnesota. Send him to the Western Conference, and keep Suter there to, he can replace Lidstrom, or even better, go to Minny also.

Resign Carle and Jagr, and add a good depth forward and a backup goalie then.
