My 3-1 score was correct. Unfortunate we are on the wrong end of it. This one hurts. I know it's the first game of the season, but this losing streak started from preseason and it continues. Somebody eventually will start a new Lavi is on the hot seat thread very soon.

Then it seemed like the Leafs had more energy throughout the third, which is strange when you consider they were the team playing back to back on the road. Tonight was sort of like a sugar crash...Flyers had tons of energy early but maybe punched themselves out by the 3rd.

If we start out 0-2, the media is going to stir the shit up and Homer is going to be in a very bad situation. Lavi may have a very short leash meaning less than 5 games? This team is way to talented to have these results. Toronto had no business being in this game, yet it looked as if we were the tired one's in the 3rd period.

It pisses me off because the Leafs may be one of the teams we have to beat out to get one of the wild cards if we can't finish top three and now they're 2-0. Bernier is the real deal also. Maybe we should have him instead of Mason.

Lots of teams are probably going to end up kicking themselves for not trading for Jonathan Bernier, including my Pens. What did the Leafs have to give up to get him? Ben Scrivens, Matt Frattin, & a 2nd round pick? Totally worth it. Really wish my Pens made a move for this guy

I agree. I really didn't get all the people who mocked that move. Bernier is going to be a star...one I hoped the Oilers may have stolen one day.

Yeah, between Bernier & Reimer, goaltending is certainly not going to be a problem for the Leafs this season. They can't go wrong either way.
