Game Thread: Flames vs Kings 1/19/15

Good start by the Kings so far but nothing to show for it. Generating numerous chances but unable to finish. Making another backup goaltender I never heard of look like an all star.

Actually I think he was attempting a cross-ice pass and he kind of half-fanned on it and it ended up going to Backlund. Another Muzzin mistake that everyone jumps on.

That's the thing, you just don't do what he did...ever. it went right to Backlund with nobody around him 3-4 feet in front of Quick. Luckily the ice was bad and he couldn't get a shot

I wish they quit scheduling these basketball/hockey doubleheaders. That ice is really in bad shape. Yeah I realize it's bad for both teams but it's these kind of conditions that lead to weird bounce goals by the team that's being outplayed that end up winning the game.

They did do one of those this year early on in the basketball season. But all the others, I think 3 total have been the other way.
