Flames ink Giordano

Every team has to decide which players they want to keep long term. If this is what it was going to take in order to keep Gioradano in a Flames uni I don't have a problem with it. Giordano has been a terrific player for the Flames. What does this contract mean in terms of the cap for Calgary in the next year or two?

What does this contract mean in terms of the cap for Calgary in the next year or two?

Well, the other news coming out of Calgary today is that Daymond Langkow has had another setback in his rehab from that slapper he took in the back of his neck last season. He might be on LTIR for the rest of the season (and outright retirement is looking more and more likely).

Sarich's current deal expires at the end of the 2011-2012 season, and I don't see him continuing with the Flames once that contract is done.
