Ok Flacco, he's legit I will give him that. But he isn't the best---Rodgers, Brees, Brady, both Mannings, Roethlisberger all better.

That is what they are saying w/ this contract.

At his age, with his resume...sounds about right. What is the stat I kept hearing before the SB...only QB to ever win a playoff game in each of his first 5 seasons. Teams have a lot to do with that as well, I know.

Flacco earned his money.... He put himself on the line by not accepting an average deal last offseason and he proved his worth. I've been pretty vocal about his shortcomings, but he proved me wrong.

He's not the best QB in the league, he's just paid that way for now. Matt Ryan will probably surpass him. Aaron Rodgers will get more. When Andrew Luck and RGIII are eligible in 3 years, they'll get ridiculous money.

Very true.... The highest paid player is normally the elite qb that most recently re-did his deal.*

* The exception is Tom Brady as the Patriots have probably found a way to pay him under the table.

Brady got 60 million guaranteed moneys, he didnt do the team any favors..You really think he put the team first?

Any how, Joe got what he deserved, he earned it

Flacco has really been blessed to be surrounded by good players on his team, but he's not even the best QB on his own team.

Joe had a helluva playoff run and agree that he earned a huge paycheck - even being overpaid - but he didn't earn the most money in the league.

Well there goes the salaries for the average quarterbacks in the league.

If one average QB gets paid like that, they will all want paid like that. I suppose Dalton will want 100 million at least then.

If that is how the Ravens choose to spend their money, on an average QB, then that should make us Bengal fans happy. Less money for the good players!

How about winning a playoff game first will ya, Joe does have 9 wins under his belt, and yes he deserves what he got

I agree. Flacco is better than he gets credit for being. Reminds me a little bit of the old arguments about Big Ben (without the raping girls in bathroom part)..... People wanted to write off his early success/playoff wins to a dominate defense. Over the last few years though, it hasn't been the defense that has carried that team. Flacco made big plays in last year's playoffs and should have gone to the SB if his receiver and kicker didn't choke. This year he made big plays and won. He should be paid.
