Who has more motivation to beat the Caps than Neuvy? He is also familiar with these shooters and is on a bit of a roll, so he could get in their heads quickly. You just never know.

Bottom line: We need to throw everything but the kitchen sink at them tonight. Play like there is no tomorrow. We can be a dangerous team. Winning this one would get them and their fans awfully nervous.

I just so happened to put in for tonight off from work well in advance and it has paid off. It could be the best game of the series and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to OT. I'm already off Sunday if they push this to six.

I think they better use the kitchen and the bathroom sink.....
If we don't give these SOB's what they got coming to them our tomorrow will be next season.

Neuvy looks strong. As well as Mase played to get us into the postseason, you still have to wonder if we could've won one of the first three games with Neuvy in net instead. He certainly would've made game two extremely close.

They pressure the puck a lot on the penalty kill and we have zero answer for it. Then when we do get a shot, they get the block or the save and they win the race to the rebound. It's unreal. Not enough movement and support by our power play guys. They can't be outnumbering us when we have the extra man. It's insane.

They end up getting a ton of clears and run three units, so after each clear, they get a change and their guys are fresher than ours and beat us to loose pucks.

You can see the issues with the power play though. As well as the Caps are killing them, we aren't moving the puck quickly enough or getting to loose pucks in a timely fashion either. It literally makes our power play look like we're playing 4 on 4.

Neuvy needs to keep this going, but we need to support him more and keep the puck out of our defensive zone. He's likely starting to get into their heads and that's one key to getting back into this series in a hurry.

Even with Neuvy playing this well, I don't know that we can win this game 1-0. We need to get the puck in their zone and get shots with traffic or at least draw penalties. I could easily see this going to OT or losing in regulation if we don't stop getting pinned in our own zone for entire shifts and repeatedly icing the puck.
