A useful idiot.
Also, per stats. The Caps iced the puck more than the Leafs in game 4. The team that has iced the puck more often has won every game in the series.
No guarantee of that - the Leafs could still pull off the series win.
Who is to say which team is "better"?
ExactlyThe Matthews goal came on a rare shift against Orpik/Shattenkirk, not Orlov/Niskanen.
So, if I'm reading correctly, the goal that opened the floodgates to a 3 goal period for the Caps was less important than a goal when the game was 4-2 which wouldn't have been 4-2 were it not for that first goal? Not to mention its really not a wash either because a no goal call in a 0-0 game in the first 5 minutes is totally different than a no goal call in a 4-2 game with 11 minutes left)
Exactly

The Caps looked awfully nervous in the second and third periods of game four, to the point where that game seemed like it was destined for overtime. One fluke bounce/mistake by a combination of Brown, Carrick and Andersen saved them from some very high pressure moments in sudden death.
This should be very interesting moving forward as Washington does still have home ice to lean on, but not a lot else..
Lol. What a dumb statement. What they have to lean on is a pretty damn good team. Nothing against the Leafs, but you all talk like the Caps have played a bad series even though they've carried most of the play.
I'm going to the game. You guys enjoy the insightful stylings of Maverick...
Heard about the hit .. has putin ordered trump to send kadri to guantanamo yet?
Oof ... praying for ov's knee
Well, I think we can all agree that this hit will generate some reasoned and well thought out debate.
