One honest question I have for neutrals or Comeds, is Montreal doing something well to shut Marner down or is he just playing unbelievably bad for someone as talented as him?

Matthews isn’t delivering either but he is getting shot attempts, he’s just not finishing for jack shit. Marner has been invisible except for passes in pressure to nowhere and terrible penalties.

We've often heard that you almost have to kill a guy to have a penalty called in OT (aside from puck over glass). Looks like that adage is out the window as well.

Also, puck over glass should be the same as icing, face-off in your zone and you can't change, it shouldn't be a two-minute minor.

As for Marner, he's the Leafs Johnny Hockey, a smaller, skilled guy who flourishes during the regular season, but struggles in the playoffs when the checking is tighter and time and space are limited.

So what’s the solution? Send him down the lineup to try and get something going against weaker defensive pairings? Kind of like how Pittsburgh put Kessel with Bonino instead of Sid or Geno?

Like I can’t watch this guy burn every entry alongside AM anymore. It’s awful.

I think you have to try to stick with it for at least one more period, but if things don't seem to be clicking after 20 minutes, Keefe has to bring out the blender and start mixing things up.
