This time not sure you can blame Carter?
He shifted on his edges to make sure he got a piece. The embellishment by Shesterkin didn't change that.

There was an angle they showed thatw as from behind Carter, you can see him change his line to make contact. That's a no-no

The long replay didn’t show Carter doing much more than any player would. Shesterkin stuck his leg out which wasn’t smart. In the end the right call was made with interference on Carter.

This angle. Carter could have easily turned to his right and avoided it all. He turned to the left make contact and didn't expect Shesterkin to launch like he was on a trampoline. Granted that made it look worse, but Carter still initiated contact.

Yeah looked like Igor stuck his right leg out to initiate it
I believe shesterkin turned his left skate out and lifted purposely for contact and it was a blatantly stupid move by him, could have injured himself

Well, it allowed him to spin. Look around and then fall and pretend to grab his hip. Lay motionless on his back like he's in a coffin. Then pop up after a nap like nothing happened.

Reporter should ask Genò what makes Igor so good now.

But the puck was behind the net he would go left no matter what. He got called for the penalty which is the correct call but that was clearly Shesterkin initiating the contact.

So not as egregious as one would think.

Carter is a savvy veteran yet still got penalized...Next time, he should be more subtle...

That's true, Carter is the kind of idiot that would get that far behind the puck and out of position :thumb: If he made that left turn (without wobbly man there), he would have been behind the puck by about 15 feet.

How about we just say neither one made any effort to avoid it? And the rules only forbid one of them from doing so
