Yes, it's long, but worth the listen....

Some take away(s) here....
  • FSU only 4 NFL draft picks in the last 3 years? WTH is happening over there @SJ76? I do think a 'healthy' Cam will be something we look back at over time, and applaud! Caution the caveat! Imagine the Wildcat options McVay can put in the offensive arsenal? Dropping 70yd dimes rolling to the left, goodness!
  • Very nice comments on Van. What, the guys a mirror image of Kupp & Woods? And then there's bloodline...with LaShawn & Marla in the pedigree, RR's and all of us have gotta love this!
  • Terrell Lewis is legit! The stand out comment in the video was Alabama staff ranking Lewis as the No 1 talent on all players even above Tua!
  • Terrell Burgess, a legit Safety! Imma kinda excited about this pick b/c he is versatile. Utah Defense IS the best in the West, and this kid shinned!
  • TE Bryce Hopkins, his Daddy played in SB 34 vs our Rams. Once again a pedigree player, RR hello! The # of targets (Especially on 3rd downs) & trust by the OC & QB matter when counting those drops vs targets.
  • This Fuller kid 6th rounder, Safety out of tOSU is the Nephew of Sinbad, the comedian, but as Les asks, can the guy play football? But it was the stamped grade he got that Lebron Hill gave him that impressed all. An Academic All American & Captain, hopefully the hip injury is behind him.
  • Clay had a waning McVay in the 7th wanting to put his head through a wall! Hey RR that's gotta put a forearm shiver or 2 in ya!
  • We got a few extra picks because we thought we could still get our TE in the 4th. So we pick up a PK to replace GZ in Solman & the OL Guard who may move to Center in Anchrum. This dude has been to two NCAA Championships. Remember when they said AD was too short, I'm just saying. All his backups were those big tall dudes. This is Clemson folks!
  • UFDA's, don't stop listening! Some interesting comments about the HOF, Johnny Hekker, Bones and of course those UDFA's in those final 20 minutes!

Only FSU picks I can recall are Dalvin Cook and Cam recently. Pretty sweet video huh and I was impressed with all the scouts as well. Very impressed with the one dude in the white shirt and light background. You can tell he’s got analytics by the balls

I recommend you all grab a couple beers, sit back and watch that you tube vid on TV.

Really interesting part was that Van Jefferson was on the same Ole Miss team as AJ Brown (Titans) and DJ Metkalf (Seawoks) where he outperformed all of those guys.

Really like the story behind the kicker we drafted as well. He seems like he might take someone’s head off on the kickoff

LOL if it's the same guy I'm thinking of, he reminded me of you, not the way he looks, but the way he talked and sounded.

Maybe that’s why I liked him. Dude seemed crazy good at what he does. Haha. I’m not that in to analytics tho. I’m more eye test and digging into the stats but if I had a guy like that??

Decided to try and do the Rand draft on first-pick and see what they scored our draft. I had to switch up the order because Lewis and Burress were going before the Rams first pick on almost all simulations.
Finally got one where they were both available. Akers didn’t last and neither did Hopkins, so took alternate players.

Your score is: 34384 (GRADE: B-)

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 20: Terrell Lewis, DE/OLB, Alabama (A)
Round 2 Pick 25: Terrell Burgess, FS/SS, Utah (B+)
Round 3 Pick 20: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU (A+)
Round 3 Pick 40 (COMP): Van Jefferson, WR, Florida (A+)
Round 4 Pick 20: Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri (A+)
Round 6 Pick 20: Antoine Brooks Jr., FS/SS, Maryland (A)
Round 7 Pick 20: Tremayne Anchrum, OT/OG, Clemson (A+)

Your Future Picks:
2021 Round 1 Pick
2022 Round 1 Pick

Well, many of the draftees and the UDFAs are expected to make this year's roster. Ya wanna have some fun and get stoked at the same time? Go to Youtube and watch AD's highlights from his college days. Good grief what a stud!!

exactly

both Lewis and Burgess were rated higher than we took them. Akers didn’t last to the 3rd and Hopkins didn’t last till our pick in the 4th.

yeah, I think McVay and Snead may be right about the guys they have for the OL, Retro.

they got blasted by just about everyone ( most of us included ) for not addressing the OL in the draft, but they did invest heavily the last two drafts, and they have done really well in the later rounds of the draft as well.

They have multiple options for C and G positions. And if Havenstein was playing hurt last season and returns to his normal play, then that frees up Evans to maybe kick inside if he is a better option than Corbett/Noteboom. And maybe that frees up Noteboom to play his more natural T position.

Either way, the Rams have a lot of flexibility on that OL which is the way McSnead wanted it.

I am more concerned with the LB positions as there are a lot of unproven guys they are relying on. I hope a couple can really stand out and become solid starters.

After all, Littleton was an UDFA that became a solid starter, so you never know.

Another excellent LB from Penn State is a big inside LB Micah Parsons. Like to see him in a Rams uni, the old ones.

Harris, Leatherwood, and Dickerson are all getting rated fairly high by Walter Football. Top five or so.

This next guy would do very well bookending Lewis at DE.

Dayo Odeyingbo, DE, Vanderbilt
Height: 6-6. Weight: 280.
Projected 40 Time: 4.88.
Projected Round (2021): 1-2

Just saw Trey Sermon is declaring for the draft since Meyer has moved on to the Jags. Since we ain't going to be able to touch Najee Harris as he will be gone by pick 57, Sermon from Ohio State is a good second option to replenish our backfield since Brown will probably be let go to walk.

If we can't land Leatherwood, then there are a number of pretty good OTs that would suit the Rams fine. In no special order:

Christian Darrisaw, Virginia Tech
Jaylen Mayfield, Michigan
Teven Jenkins, Oklahoma State
Trey Smith, Tennessee.

Tried one on Fanspeak (not familiar with the rankings yet):

57: R2 P25 LB Zaven Collins - Tulsa
88: R3 P24 C Landon Dickerson - Alabama
99: R3 P35 OT Cole Van Lanen - Wisconsin
137: R4 P35 RB Zamir White - Georgia
203: R6 P24 WR Rico Bussey Jr. - Hawaii
247: R7 P25 QB Jamie Newman - Georgia

Started one on FirstPick and Newman was projected in the 2nd....such a huge swing between sites.
