For the first time in almost 30 years I have ABSOLUTELY no idea who we will pick. Would think our priorities would be OL, LB and DL.

Well McVay is going to spend only one night at the combine this year. Apparently they already have their guys picked. McVay is going to spend the bulk of his time getting the new coordinators and coaches up to his speed-whatever that means.

There are rumors ( and articles on Ramswire) that we are going to trade down with our first pick to gather more draft picks. The latest scenario is we are trading the 52nd pick to go further down in the second round getting another second rounder, an additional third, and maybe a fifth which we do not have right now.

Likely trade partners are the Packers, the Raiders, and maybe the Chiefs. Don't count out the Patriots on draft day.

I don’t see any team giving up that much to move up to the middle of the 2nd.

I suspect they will trade down, but I expect several small trades and not a lump sum one

Doing tHoop draft now. This year I really haven’t dived and didn’t even do a mock, but I’ve been looking the last few days and I know a bit of college football.

Really didn’t know who to take for our 1st pick in round 2 so I took a stud RB Cam Akers, FSU. He is a beast and yeah I went homer. But the kid is bad ass

NFL Draft & Combine Profile - Cam Akers | NFL.com

Next pick in the 3rd I took one of the best Olineman to come out of Clemson in the last 10 years +. John Simpson

I was going to pull the trigger on a Center but the top guys were close to the 4,5,6 rated guys as well. I’ve got an idea for a OT and ILB as well. Need to find a CB and safety is deep in this class as well.

I did make a trade before the first pick and traded down 2-3 spots and got a 5th rounder which is nice because we didn’t have one. I expect the same out of our FO

If the Rams take a RB early, then they are basically writing off Henderson without even taking his training wheels off.

That’s just crazy considering they thought enough of him to trade up and get him last year.

I think we will be selecting either Becton, the big tackle out of Louisville or Jones out of Houston with 52 and with pick 57 will see an Edge, maybe Uche from Michigan, Lewis from Alabama, or Chaisson from LSU. RB we will get in the 3rd like a Zach Moss out of Utah or the kid SJ76 mentioned. We will also address Center in the third with guys like Biadasz from Wisconsin or Lloyd Cushenberry from LSU. Keep a slot open for the big and fast receiver out of Baylor, the Mims kid. If we trade down, we may see him in the fourth or fifth.

Mims may not last that long.

He’s 6’3 with 4.38 speed

Bet he goes late 2nd or early 3rd at the latest.

Kiper has him going in the 1st, he he may not even make it to the 2nd.

I'd be shocked if Becton made it out of the top 20. No way we're going to get him.

Becton is a reach for us and if Snead pulls off a draft deal where we swap our two seconds for 1st rounder and if Becton falls, we could snag him. But that is a lot of ifs to fall into place. Otherwise it'll most likely be Jones or one of the Centers at 52.

You might be right ALR about Mims. His stock has risen and the Rams had him in for a face-to-face. If he lasts into the second and some of the O-lineman we fancy are still on the board at 52, Mims may be our first pick. Or if the reverse is true, we will take him at 57 with an O-lineman at 52. We shall see how that plays out.

Trading our (2) 2nds to move into the 1st round is the last thing the Rams need to do.

They needs a lot of help and more draft capital, not less.

They would miss out on a lot of talent and depth/potential starters by skipping the 2nd round, especially since that is where the draft well.
