Brandon Meriweather and Jordan Reed are practicing.

Safeties Bernstine and Holland have been cut.

Carriker, Wilson and Hurt are on the Active PUP list. There are rumors that the Redskins will part ways with Carricker and give him an injury settlement.

Forgot about Minnifield for the last month. Excellent.

Minnifield is a real darkhorse to be a guy who can make the team and contribute IMO. Lots of talent. Was always a question whether he could recover from that knee. Microfractures are a completely different animal than tendon issues as far as recovery. Can never tell if a guy will be able to make it back or not.

If he's 100%, I think he's a guy who has starter potential.

RG3 is wearing a brace, and will likely wear a brace the entire season. But it's not the same brace he wore late last year. Less bulky.

The brace he wore last year is designed to assist an already injured knee to get you by. The brace he is wearing this year is designed to prevent reinjury. I have seen that brace once or twice, its custom fit and can take a 40 MPH impact straight on without the hinges giving out. So it will prevent the knee from bending back on itself or going side ways. Only down side to that brace is, if he does get hit head on, the knee wont give, but a thigh bruise is more than likely.
