Shit, just thinking about the place I saw Cheap Trick at reminded me that I did see another band there a few years earlier. Probably not heard of by most of you. Every Mother's Son. Had one song made radio play

When you're down on the boat and the fish won't bite
a little bit o'soul will put you right

My parents took me to see the Statler Brothers at the County Fair, I was in elementary school. But first major concert was U2

When I was just a little bit, I saw Doug Kershaw in the French Quarter, NO. Forgot about that. There was a shot on the News about it, you could see my older brother.

I'm embarrassed to say mine, but I was like 5 years old.

Trace Atkins opened up for Kenny Chesney at a tiny outdoor venue that no longer exists before either of them were big acts.

Probably my first 50 concerts were at that venue with my step grandma, most of them were better than that. Saw and met George Jones there numerous times growing up.

My first major venue show was Jamey Johnson when he opened up for Hank Williams Jr when I was 18.

The wife is a huge country fan and tooken me to several.....

Trace Adkins was one of them and it was boring as all get up.....Same with George Strait.....just plain boring.....

Seen Kenny Chesney 4-5xs......Awesome concerts......

And for the embarrassing catagory, verve first country concert wife ever took me to,The Dixie Chicks..........
They were actually surprisingly good......:behindsofa:

I turn 40 in March.
Skid Row opened for Bon Jovi sometime around 87/88 or so.

I just seen Skid Row two Thursdays ago for 30$ with Alaughter as an opening act st one of the local casinos.....

Slaughter even tho they are all still together, was horrible.......2nd time I seen them......last time around 2007.

And Skid Row was just ok......No Sebastian Bach......Songs were just not the same......:bullshit:

Cheap fun and 4$ for an aluminum bottle bud light is my type of drinking and prices...........:thumb:

Rolling Stones at RFK 4th of July '72. Stevie Wonder opened. Tickets were $10. All general admission. There was a big crush at the gate and they had to open things up earlier than they'd planned. It was nuts. My buddy got jammed up in the crowd for several minutes or I would have been right down front, but we wound up halfway back on the infield. Might be best my concert ever, too.
I saw the Stones in concert when I was 17 and had a great time.

They were ok but I preferred the solo stuff that their front man, Johnny Bravo put out a little later.

I saw Slaughter open for Ozzy on the No More Tears tour. They were just godawful. Sounded like a teapot going off. But HOLY FUCK did they bring out the sluts. Never seen so many exposed titties in one place. Hot af girls too. All looked like Kelly from Married with Children. On a side note, Ugly Kid Joe was the first act, and they were awesome.

I saw Skid Row open for Guns and Roses. They were awesome. We walked out on GnR. They were HORRIBLE. One of the worst shows I've ever seen, and that was after they made us wait for like 45 minutes. Fucking terrible.

Blood Sweat & Tears

I seen Blood, Sweat & Tears with Paul Revere & the Raiders back in the early 90's, won the tickets on the radio, main floor was tables, I had the table right in front, wasn't a bad show.

I seen the Steel Wheels tour in 1989, it was at the Metrodome which sucked but it was a great concert.

Actually my first concert was a few years before the Stones concert ('68 maybe?), when my mom took me to see the Temptations.. Gladys Knight & The Pips opened. I think that was as much that she wanted to see them, but my dad didn't and she didn't want to go alone. Going to concerts wasn't on my radar yet at that age.

Another band that horrible......The wife walked out to smoke a cig and ended up at the bar.....
