Burriss has not started a game since July 16th, so what does he do in his first start in three months? FPOM on a pitch that almost hit him in the knee.

And for his second AB, waits a whole two pitches to pop out to second.

What is up with these hitters? Are they seeing the pitches coming in fat, or do they just want the season to end in a hurry?

Not really a Sox fan anymore but it was time for him to go. Very similar to Dusty Baker, good motivator, terrible at strategy, hung around until the team kind of gave up on him and he the team.

It's really unusual for a manager to stay over 5-7 years with a team. Ozzie was there for 8. Dusty was here for, what was it, 10?
