That was a completely different era, my man.

Augmon and Johnson would have gone pro by like 1988 if things were the way they are now...

Maybe Augmon if things were like today back in the day. In '88 Johnson was still playing @ Odessa JC if I remember correctly. Augmon played @ UNLV from '88 to '91 while Johnson played for the Runnin' Rebels in '90 & '91.

Can't argue w/ that. I'm glad to see the Zags finally got to a Final Four. I got nothing against them but I will be rooting for Carolina tomorrow night. Have family that went to school in Chapel Hill.
Kudos to both North Carolina and Gonzaga for making the NCG.

You came off like you were disrespecing them because of the WCC. I'm just saying shitty conference aside they are an elite team. They shouldn't have to "prove" themselves tomorrow night.

Really who cares about their shitty conference. They can't control what conference they are in, they try to schedule as many top OOC games as possible. Besides, UCLA doesn't get knocked for only becoming a blue blood because of the very weak Pac 8. How many titles has UCLA won since the rest of the West coast started playing basketball? Just one more than Gonzaga.

I'm a bit bummed out that The Tourney will be ending tomorrow. It's my favorite sports time of the year. I've been to a couple cool CBB arenas over the years (TheDeanDome, Carrier Dome, Rupp Arena, Freedom Hall, Phog Allen & Assembly Hall, and some not so famous arenas as well) & someday I'd love to attend a live Final Four.

Yes, but JUCO was a viable vehicle into college in those days. AND he came back for his senior year.

These days, if LJ were academ ineligible, he'd just go play pro in Europe/China/Iceland for a year and then enter the draft.

I say it was an easy path. I do think indiana and ND is betger then any team gonzaga played this year but that is my opinion. I do agree with you last years team was better. No argument from me.

Well, I'm biased too. I think 2016 Villanova is better than 2017 Gonzaga, so I do think you guys will win, lol.

I just think too much is made of the Zags easy path.

i still can't get over Oregon players not even attempting to box out on the 2 biggest boards those players will ever need.

I can't get over how two Carolina players that both shoot over 60% free throws can't hit at least one of the two they each got when the time mattered. Fuck Carolina I hope they get raped by the zags

The so-called easy path stuff is nonsense to me. No matter what region a team is in it's difficult to get the 6 W's needed to cut the nets down. Oh yeah...and fuck Villanova for last years buzzer beater!:D (just kidding)

It's called pressure. Then again what would a WV fan know about that once The Tourney rolls around?:heh: When Huggins was the HC @ Akron U. ( I went to school there) I attended his summer hoops camp a couple of times.

You are correct. I watched Johnson play in that junior college conference...same conference that produced Spud Webb (Midland College)...and the one Nolan Richardson won a NJCAA championship in with Paul Pressey (Western Texas College) before going to Tulsa and then Arkie. It is a pretty good junior college conference.

LOL at an Akron grad/Ohio st fan talking about pressure in basketball. In this situation there is hardly any compared to the alternative.

You're an 80% foul shooter, you don't miss two free throws when your up 1. Jesus man.

It's called being a real fan of CBB, not just following 1 team. Just because I'm from Ohio & went to my hometown university doesn't mean I don't understand CBB. Maybe you should try following all of CBB & not just 1 team considering they have only been to the Final Four twice ever. In '59 & '10.

I'll root for WV. Still a bit disappointed that the BigTen didn't add them instead of Maryland or Rutgers though.

I'm going with Gonzaga over UNC... The Tar Heels struggled against Kentucky and Oregon while Gonzaga seemed to be in cruise control until late in the 2nd half against South Carolina.

Living in Prov RI most of my life, I always root for PC and URI naturally and miss the old Big East. PC only made the final 2 times once in 73 when Dave Gavit was HC( later Big East commisioner and founder) with Ernie D and a great Marvin Barnes who could have been one of the greatest ever but drugs, like Herrin did him in) and then in 87 with Pitino and his PG Billy Donovan. URI made it once to the elite 8 and I think it's the 1 year we had Jim Harrick as HC after he got bounced out of UCLA and Lamar Odom

Alot of people here apparently do. And use that to undermine the Zags.
