Filatov to Ottawa

As was said above the Blue Jackets went above & beyond for Filatov. They gave him all the slack a team could give. He wouldn't be the first top 5 pick to not live up to his potential & he won't be the last.

Josh Bailey was rushed too. The talent is definately their. Whether Bailey fulfills it remains to be seen.

I agree but it's still worth a shot if you're the Sens. It could fail but he could go out and do really well with a fresh start. But if he truly is a headcase then he'll show his true colors soon enough.

Bailey is a prime example of somebody who was rushed. He needed at least another year down in the OHL to mature and grow. Then he would have been more prepared to compete and play in the NHL. Sometimes players eventually figure it out but players rushed usually never fulfill their potential.

Bailey was just qualified. I doubt he gets an extension. I think the Isles are going to want to see how he plays next season. If they decide to trade him at some point I bet they get more than a 3rd round pick.

Absolutely they should wait and see how he does next year. If he still struggles then you need to look at dealing him and yes....you'll get more then a 3rd round pick. Bailey doesn't really have the KHL card in his pocket either though...lol

Bailey is frustrating to watch. There was a stretch of games early in the season when Tavares was out that Bailey just dominated. When Tavares came back he just wasn't the same. It made me wonder if Josh needs to be the focal point. It got so bad they sent him the Bridgeport where he dominated. I don't know what his problem is. I just know the talent is their & hope they can bring it out of him. If they can't some team will believe a change of scenery is all he needs.

LMAO!! Is Filatov delusional? He couldn't even crack the Blue Jackets lineup for a full season & he expects to be a 1st or 2nd liner for the Senators. Good luck with that Nikita.
