I don't even remember posing I was a little confused when I got the alert. Then saw the date on the postWhat does that quote be me even mean? I have been anti-fighting for some time, and consistent on it.

Well comparing my opinion from then to the one from today, my goodness am I redundant.
For those of you guys who oppose changing under the pressure of the media or "specil interest groups", would you change your opinion, hypothetically of course, if public health officials, physicians and scientists came out with an independent report linking fighting to long term health effects?
This report is far from forthcoming and would probably be decades from now when enough data is gathered, but....
That players are not the necessarily the best equipped to make the decision about fighting themselves.
I tried to pick ones that didn't need much context, but I can see how yours might be confusing.
Also, hi 46.
Spur of the moment fights (as in answering for a cheap shot on a teammate) I don't have an issue with at all. Staged fights are lame.
If they tell him this stat is some kind of advanced analytic he'll just say it bull. If he is sober enough to realize what it is he'll provide an outstanding rant...highly entertainingSix teams this season have not even recorded a fighting major. I wonder if Grapes will touch on this tomorrow night on HNIC.
Fights and the fighters are disappearing from NHL
The David Clarkson comment is golden now though.
Better hope Boll doesn't find a way to impress torts with his shot blocking prowess in practice 43I would like to amend my comment that Clarkson was nothing but a goon.
My opinion is now that he is simply nothing.
This is a good turn. An example from Columbus, Jared Boll got into his cement head that his role was going away and spent the entire summer re-working his game. He changed his skating stride, studied more game film and worked on his conditioning so that he could contribute more than just fists and chirping.
He's been in a few games and killed momentum once with a fight and has had a hard time finding time outside the press box since. Otherwise, he's not good enough to play. He is obsolete and it's getting more obvious. William Karlsson, Alex Wennberg, Matt Calvert. Those guys are getting the ice time, even on a Tortorella team.
Lets hope more like Boller find their jobs going away.
Of course you don't like fights or goonsThe league needs more goals, not more fights to keep things going in a good direction. Obviously, you guys all know my stance on the subject. If this trend continues, I'm certainly fine with rules remaining as they do. Goons are nearly a thing of the past, and it's a beautiful thing.

It was because of your comments on Shane Doan after a particular chippy night. The way we played hockey was physical and fighting was necessary at times and would hate to see it taken out. #goonslivesmatterI struggle to get the intent of this. "Of courrrrse YOU don't like...?" If that's the intended comment though, I'm honored. I do hate fights and goons. Just not the part of hockey I enjoy, and my profession is injury prevention, so they simply tick me off.
