I thought Wood would be more dangerous than he's been, you can tell he'll give Mex fits but so far no control of the ball for those guys thus limited opportunities...

I picked Mexico to win this but I wouldn't imagine that New Zealand would go down without a fight... what happened?

Yeah, I'm baffled that this is how their performance is.... nothing close to the last WC squad at all...

Obviously unable to replace the players from the last WC. Rugby is the big sport there, but they've always put up a half way decent team. Of course NZ plays nobody in qualifying.

yeah your right... theres such a dropoff... even scheme wise, the defendors are giving away the ball too often and not maintaining possesion... playing hurried and making errors across the board

No real speed and hustle for New Zealand. Don't know how important the loss of NZ's Captain is, which the announcers are talking about, but it must mean something.

That's what I'm seeing as well....

I'll add that NZ is quickly to turn the ball over rather than "wait" and maintain control... get into their set plays(if any)...

and that keeper should be player of the game... on the way back he should first class all to himself

I think its safe to say NZ won't win this with 27 mins left however if they can get that away goal, at least 1, 2 would be awesome, they may still have a chance in the 2nd leg....

Agreed, it's almost as if NZ has never practiced together as a team. There is no real "set up" for NZ. Also no pressure on Mexico when they have the ball at midfield.

No one was against NZ over Mex either... like you said, this year, Mexico was just not playing at a top performance... not Cup worthy... but the change in lineup for today's match has them playing differently...its night and day TBH

I think the goalie's cologne is still strong enough to bypass the shower lol
