Let's take a look at the awesome competition these teams have faced.

New England - Pitt 0-3, Miami 0-3 and NY Jets 0-3. That's 0-9 for your competition, here's a cookie. Don't worry though, Pats fans, they look like the class of the league and get to go to Buffalo to play the 3-0 Bills. After that they go to Washington then play the Giants at home.

Buffalo - NY Jets 0-3, NY Giants 1-2, Cincy 0-3. 1-8 combined for your competition. Fantastic D and not very good O in Buffalo. We get to see what this team has when the Pats come to town this week. After that they go to Tennessee then home for the Dolphins.

KC Chiefs - Jax 1-2, Oak 1-2, Baltimore 2-1. 4 -5 combined for the Chiefs competition. Looking good so far, but their D doesn't seem to have improved over last year. This O can run away and hide from just about anybody, and at least they've played some competition. They play at the Lions, then get the Colts and Texans at home.

Dallas - NY Giants 1-2, Washington 0-2, Miami 0-3. 1-7 so far with Washington playing tonight. I haven't watched 1 minute of Dallas so far this season, but Dak has had a hot start and they had a good D last year. We get to see them against Bridgewater led Saints next week and the Packers after that, so the competition steps up a little bit for the next couple games.

Green Bay - Chi 1-1, Minnesota 2-1, Denver 0-3. 3-5 so far with the Bears playing tonight. 2 games in their division and the Broncos. Not exactly a juggernaut of a schedule, but it ramps up with the Eagles Thursday and then a trip to Dallas.

LA Rams - Carolina 1-2, New Orleans 2-1, Cleveland 1-2. 4-5 for their competition so far. They've taken care of business so far, but their O hasn't gotten off to that breakneck pace we've seen in the past. The D has been solid. Home for Tampa next week, then off to Seattle and home for the 49ers.

San Fransisco - Tampa Bay 1-2, Cincy 0-3, Pittsburgh 0-3. That's 1-8 for their competition. They've handled their business so far. They get the Browns at home next week, then travel to the Rams. It appears they're stepping up in weight class the next couple weeks.

It appears that the Rams have played the most difficult schedule so far, the Pats the easiest. Yes, beating all of these teams has given them 3 of the losses. Good luck in the future...some of these teams will need it.

I think we're really pushing the Chiefs D hasn't improved narrative pretty hard when they've been very average (a noticeable improvement) in EPA.

It took two prayer shots from Lamar Jackson to make his line and the Ravens offense look remotely respectable, and they were still very bleh at best outside of a very hollow 28 points. R through 3 weeks of ball is .66, so it's at least somewhat time to take the season's results to this point at least a little seriously sans an outlier schedule.

I was trying not to say anything really positive about anybody except the surprise 3-0 teams...I didn't see Buffalo or San Fran starting off 3-0, or the Packers for that matter.

Gotcha, that makes some thematic sense then. Guess I disagree with the characterization then.

Yes, I feel good about it for SF. The goal this year was to move past another losing season. They had to start out this way because the schedule is going to get much tougher.

To be totally fair, the Chiefs have played every bit as difficult a schedule as the Rams. To say one was more difficult that the other can be argued, but in terms of record, it's the same. Take away the 3 losses from each and their opponents are 4-2, so nothing to be ashamed of, unlike some others. Even they don't need to apologize as they can only play the teams scheduled by the NFL.

yup, feeling good. pitt was supposed to compete, and gave seattle fits when ben was in.

they still havent allowed an offensive TD to an NFL team in 2019. that counts. very much.

Is Patriots' Defense As Dominant As Stats Suggest?

REALITY: The Patriots’ Defense Really Could Not Have Done Any Better Through Three Games

Bash the quality of opponents all you want, because it’s certainly valid. But you have to understand: It’s not as if the Patriots’ defense is merely playing pretty well against these bad teams. No, the Patriots’ defense is playing nearly perfect through 180 minutes of NFL football.

Yes, obviously, second-year QB and pick No. 199 overall Luke Falk was making his first career NFL start; he did not end up doing a great Tom Brady impression. Yes, obviously, the Patriots’ Week 2 opponent may end up being the worst team in NFL history.

But allowing just 105 total offensive yards over the course of an entire football game is something that just does not happen. A shutout, which the Patriots recorded a week ago, is likewise a rarity in today’s NFL. (The Dolphins mustered 184 big yards in that one.) The Cardinals went from 1992 to 2017 without a shutout. The Lions went from 1996 to 2018 without one. The Patriots have one this year and could easily have three.

Just throwing this out here but to more accurately look at strength of competition, you shouldn't count the games the team played in. Ex: Jax 1-1, Oak 1-1, Balt 2-0 when not playing the Chiefs so that would suggest that the Chiefs played 1 good team and 2 average teams.

Right, as stated above, I didn't want to say anything too positive about teams that a 3-0 start could be expected from. Below that I stated there is no need to apologize for the schedule, it's what the league set up.

Supposed to be complete before a game was played is just an expectation, not reality. Miami and the Jets O scare nobody, but thanks for apologizing?

Seattle was beat soundly by Bridgewater and was lucky to win their other 2 games

Then why post this?

Chiefs competition has been at least middle of the pack.

To make the fans of teams that started off 3-0 feel a little less cocky about their start, and troll them a little. Heck, rock posted a bible defending the Pats playing teams with an 0-9 record so far.

Rams started out like gangsters last year and really didn’t finish great. I’d rather finish great obviously than start out great.

That said, I’m not sure we have the QB to go far again this year.. I hope I’m wrong

As a Dallas fan, of course Dallas has been impressive. The Chiefs offense has been amazing. The Pats look like the team again though. I do wonder about their running game a bit. The team that is kind of under the radar right now is GB. Everyone knows they are 3-0 , but it’s their defense that has been carrying them. Their offense and even Rodgers hasn’t really cranked up yet. I know it’s a new scheme and they have played 3 good defenses, but they definitely have the fire power to be awesome on that side of the ball.
