5'7 defenseman Lee Sweatt in his first NHL game.
He's so small, his teammates were chanting "Rudy" as he's getting dressed before the game.

breaks into the open late in the 3rd period, goes roof-daddy on Pekka Rinne for the game-winning goal.

That's cool, but if you are 5'7", why wouldn't you be a forward? Never heard of a defenseman that small before. Can't imagine you could be effective moving people off the puck at that size.

containment and positioning. he did alright this game.
his brother is a bit bigger, and is a forward in the Canucks system as well. terrific wheels.

Columbus has a dude like that too, I think Kriss Russell is listed at 5'9 or something... he looks tiny on the ice though.

Rafalski isn't the biggest guy, I guess as long as Sweatt can be a smooth skater, have great heads up vision, and deft puck skills he can probably follow in Rafalski's path. Avoiding physical contact like the plague and riding guys around like a jockey won't hurt either.
