all sports are fighting this. it's just become such a good experience to watch games from home now
This proves if you want to have more fans at the game play better teams. Plain and simple. I used to be that person that would trudge through ankle deep water to get to a game even if I was sick. Now, if LSU is playing Rice and I feel I could be getting sick, I’m not going to risk being out of work. If it was Alabama/Auburn/Georgia/Florida of course I would do whatever it takes. It isn’t that difficult to understand, if you want people to show up, play better teams. The moving target that are those key demographics increasingly aren't putting up with mediocre opponents. Del Conte noticed it last season when more than 110,000 fans crammed their way into Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to watch the showdown with LSU. Del Conte said there was $2.5 million in concession revenue alone that day.
True...and while not new, my Miners have contributed to the decline. We haven't been worth a trip to the Sun Bowl to watch us play. Only good crowds have been when OU, Tech, Zona, etc come to town. Ain't worth watch a crappy Miner team play ODU.There have been a lot of good answers in this thread but one thing not mentioned is there are around 25 more
teams playing at the FBS level than in 1996. The vast majority of those new teams do not draw 20,000 per
game.

3 Fun road trips!I remember when we played there.
Not sure why we do these really.
We do that with Army this year, and Temple in a couple of years.
If there are NBA games at tLCA again, swing by Guest Services and see if you can get your seats upgraded for free. That's what I did to get moved down to fold out chairs from the nosebleeds. The tickets were purchased early in the year thru the team site, which I NEVER DO, but didn’t want to chance the secondary market.
My boy is only 6, so I wasn’t parking a half mile away to walk downtown with him. Every lot around the Arena was $40. I did see $20 lots too, but too far to walk with him.
Now the Tigers — I’ve went to games and sat in the Tigers Den for $5 the last few years. I will park at the casino and walk.

They even printed out a little certificate thing for my mom since it was her first trip to the arena.
IIRC, you guys had a late cancellation and it turned into a two for one is the only reason you guys came. Texas has been out too...but only because there is a very large rusty cow alumni in EP.I remember when we played there.

You guys are probably the most loyal fans in all of CFB.
Maybe not. But I can't recall any of those going through an abyss like the Corn Aggies have.I don't know...there aren't to many SEC power schools that couldn't have a sellout record with an 85,000 seat stadium.
Just lie next time you go.Really? Damn. I would have liked the certificate thing for my kid.

I forgot about them. The Coon Dog Aggie abyss may very well be as bad as the Corn Aggie one.Let me introduce you to my friends in Knoxville. Winners of the Natty a year after the Corn Aggies...the last of their 6 Championships. Winners of 846 games.

What say ye hooplans? Which set of loyal fans have had to bear the worst stretch? Nebraska or Tennessee.
