I liked it, but it's really chewy.

Conch Fritters are the best thing in the world, I grew up in South Florida and whenever we went down to the Keys we'd have them. I was in Puerto Rico last week, and found a place that had them and it was great. Had a conch empinadilla as well.

I love good kimchi. That spiciness, the tang of the fermentation, the slight crunch left in parts of the cabbage...SO tasty!!!

I remember trying conch for the first time with my dad and brother what seems like a million years ago(more like 30 lol, so I was about eleven). It was either in Puerto Rico or Mexico(probably PR). I remember asking him, what is it? He said "Its like a big clam" worked for me, always loved clams, dug right in and loved it...

Haven't seen anyone comment about "sucking head," the mostly Louisiana practice of breaking a crawdad in half and then eating the tail (good stuff) and then sucking the innards out of the body (too gross for me). Any practitioners of this here?

I've never tried those, but have heard quite a bit about them. I'd give them a shot for sure. Do you dip them in a sauce or anything like that? Or just eat them plain?

Not really a "far out" or weird type of exotic food, but I do enjoy Campechana. For those that aren't familiar its a Mexican Seafood Cocktail of sorts in soup form.

There's a place on the Oregon Coast near Lincoln City (can't remember the name) that has a killer Campechana made with oysters, baby octopus, scallops, mussels, squid & shrimp. The wife says it makes her nauseous to see me eat the baby octopi lol.

Tempeh

It was weird to me when I tried it a couple months back, but now it's a staple food for me. Haven't had meat in almost 2 months (not an ethical choice, just a health one), and I was having stomach issues early on. Tempeh is fermented, and it helped get the bacteria in my gut situated, and it tastes pretty good.
