Jordan Howard would be a better choice based on ball security but he is a marginal receiver and blocker. CJ Procise is also a possibility. He is a former receiver but has some fumbling issues. Also noticed that Pot Roast (Terrance Knighton) is coming in for a visit.
Depending on what the Pats do with Blount I'd like to see them wait it out and try and get Procise. Former WR/RB/ST he'll find a nitche somewhere? Assuming Lewis comes back strong and the other offensive weapons NE picked up in FA I'm willing to take the risk. or see where Kenyan Drake falls? If they think they can get him in the 5th (if they missed on Procise and Howard) earlier.
Find a wide receiver and linemen for both sides of the ball early.

Pats just need a RB that keeps the opposing D honest. I'm really hoping Lewis returns to the way he was playing before he got injured? Then give me a bruiser who can hold onto the ball, block and make some catches out of the backfield.

I just watched the Pats/Chargers playoff in 2005. The Chargers had the star studded defense of Castilla, Merriman and the rest of the top notch defense. I had to laugh because the Pats beat them at San Diego with Corey Dillon and (brain fart) #33 at running back and Reche Caldwell, Jabbar Gaffney and Troy Brown at WR. They lost to the Colts the following week on the infamous 4th and 2.

I'm thinks if Dieon Lewis is back close to 2015, Donald Brown can do a lot of the straight ahead running and the Pats still have Joey Iosefa at 6' 245 lbs to do the pounding. Bolden is still available because he plays great ST. White is in his do or die year. I don't think Belichick has running back at a priority.

Cornerback is where I think he'll be looking. Everyone is expecting something else so I figure he'll do his annual shock pick who will be a starter come Week 1.

I like CJ Procise. He does not have the millage of some of these other RB. He started at CB/S, then played the slot WR for a yr, then was moved to RB when they were thin. He only got a chance to play because ND lost it's two lead RB, and the Freshman was the only one left. He did fumble, but it was his 1st yr and had a great season until he got hurt. ND IMO pushed him to much when he was banged up because they didn't trust the Fresh. If anything, he is smart, can run, and can catch. He is very shifty on his feet. Would be a decent play in the 4th rd.

Prosise reminds me of David Givens, another "swiss army knife" type player from Notre Dame who had a great career, even though he was a 7th round draft choice.
