So, I'm in a fantasy draft tomorrow night, and I have no idea what I'm doing. :D

Is it bad to draft a goalie in the first round?

Depends on your point system, number of teams, number of goalies you need.

Not sure how much you know about hockey, but I'll try to help ya out best I can.
Here are a few things you can note:
1.OV is #1 overall and it's not close
2. Goal scorer over playmaker
3. Elite goalies are more valuable than skaters after the top 10-15 skaters
4. Elite Defensemen are head and sholders above the other defensemen
5. Ignore goons dispite thier high PIM
6. In the mid to later rounds look at guys w/ high PIM and high ATOI
7. +/- mostly depends on the team: Good +/- are Caps, Canucks, Blackhawks; Bad +/- are NY Islanders, Oilers. Don't avoid players from NYI or EDM but be aware that you won't get much from them in +/-

Hope this helps and if you need more help, just ask! :)

it largely depends on what people do ahead of you.
there are only a few goalies that will play 65 games and win most of them
once they start to go, you don't want to be left scrambling for half of a goalie tandem.

In general, the scorers tend go in the earliest picks, as they contribute to more categories.
We just had a draft this past weekend, and the first goalie went #9, second went #15, and there were 3 more taken in the next 15 picks.

So that's how I ended up with Vokoun.:L

The best thing to do is dress up like the Flyers goalie when your ladyfriend is ready to get kinky. I saw it on TV once...

My plan is to take Miller if he's still there, unless I'm the #1 pick. Who is Steven Stamkos though? Should I take him instead? Scoring system is head-to-head

Your team is a lot better than mine. The only major downside at the moment for you is Varlamov is on IR. Good Luck.

He can probably free agent/waiver himself Bobrovsky to replace Varlamov for now. It would likely be an upgrade anyway.

I've already picked up 6 guys on waivers. I lost Hudler to Ritari.

This is all you need to know about my team.
I'm losing my first head to head matchup & my oponent has both of his goalies on I.R.:L
