Have to choose between Olsen, Winslow, Celek and Gresham.

Right now I have Olsen. I'm actually thinking in the long run Gresham is the best bet. Olsen is 2nd because he shares catches a bit with Shockey when Shockey is healthy.

For Gresham, he's the only TE. It's him and AJ Green.

Celek and Winslow have QB performance or health issues.

So who's the best TE for this week, and for the rest of the year?

I'm thinking Olsen this week, Gresham rest of the year.

I'm thinking Celek because Vince can't throw the ball more than 10 yards, Maclin is out, and DJax will get doubled because of it. McCoy and Celek will have big weeks. Plus, they should be behind and throwing a LOT.

Gresham otherwise.

Dude,

Celek is not the most athletic TE. Out of the ones I mentioned, the other 3 are probably more athletic than he is.

Celek lives on the underneath short routes that Desean and Maclin clear out for him. If the receivers are out Celek might actually suffer.

Celek has been relegated to underneath short routes because he's become such a low tier option that it's where he is most effective. With the main WR's out, I think he can see a substantial increase in targets. Gresham should probably see more targets this week too with AJ Green likely out, but I like Celek against the Giants suspect LB's.

I like Olsen this week. Panthers will be playing in a shootout. Plus the Miami Hurricanes need him to score to continue the 149 week streak of a player from the U scoring a TD!

After thinking I got a steal in Dallas Clark in the draft, I've been riding the Greg Olsen train all season. He's not spectacular, but he's the second receiving option in an offense that throws surprisingly often, and is probably their primary red zone option. He's been pretty solid. That's good enough for me out of the TE position, but I've got some pretty big scorers elsewhere. I picked up Celek last week, but dropped him this week. He's just too inconsistent with Vick at QB IMO.

Ok I'm gonna go with Olsen, because, Stafford and Newton will make this a shootout, and Shockey is out, and Detroit cannot cover the better TEs.

If the QB or a WR is out on a team, that can negatively affect the passing game and the TE (or it could benefit the TE, but it's a risk).

Celek is a risk because Maclin is out, and Vick is probably out, and Young is QB.

Gresham is a risk because of Ravens D is #1 against the TE and AJ Green is out.

Winslow is a risk because Tampa is just sucking right now, although he could catch a garbage TD.

Actually someone ahead of me on the waiver wire grabbed Winslow.

So i went with Olsen in one league, and Gresham in another.

Gresham actually caught a TD that was called back, but should have been allowed. He clearly had possession and control as he crossed the plane but then he broke his fall by pressing the ball against the ground, BUT he did not actually place the ball on the ground.
