It's working!!!!

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that some NFL teams have graded Shedeur Sanders as a mid-to-late first-round draft pick
.
I think we've been in enough fantasy drafts that there's always that owner who gets antsy and just has to reach to get "his guy."

Happens in the NFL too.

I think there is definitely a possibility that Jaxson Dart ends up being the 2nd QB taken this year. Like Joe said, all it takes is one GM to see something that nobody else does.

Oh, fer God's sake.

Enough already.

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports that “the Vikings haven’t closed the door on Aaron Rodgers.”

With her opening remarks, Russini succinctly stated that “it could happen.” Russini then outlined a hypothetical scenario in which Rodgers “hangs out, and the Minnesota Vikings pick up the phone” and ask him to join a quarterback competition. Internally, the Vikings have apparently maintained the view that “it would be a competition [for the starting quarterback job] this summer.” Russini also adds that “there is also a world where J.J. McCarthy shows up to OTAs and looks as sharp, and confident, and [as] ready to go as he saw him in training camp last year,” which, we are left to infer, would negate the need for a competitive veteran.

You'll love this then...

Outkick’s Armando Salguero reports that Kirk Cousins hopes to be traded after the 2025 NFL Draft’s conclusion.

Cousins’ no-trade clause gives him the ability to at least partially determine his own future, and there appears to be wiggle room in his request. Although he would prefer to wait until the draft’s conclusion, he has reportedly made clear that a mid-draft trade, after Day 2 concludes, could be agreeable. Salguero lists the Steelers, Browns and even the Vikings, in a backup role, as possible landing spots.

Cowboys traded for Joe MIlton III for a 5th

Peculiar to say the least.
Makes me wonder if this isn't' a contingency plan. If Milton develops, the Cowboys do have an out after the 2026 season. A very expensive out, but it would be a net savings to cut Dak after the '26 season. Bit of a reach IMHO, but..better than what they gave up to get Trey Lance

If Milton doesn't develop, they've got the '26 draft to try again.

Honestly I'm surprised that this was the best deal the Patriots could get for him. I know he only really flashed the one game he played, but with how weak this quarterback class is, he might have been the 4th quarterback taken in this draft.

agreed, after Ward, Sanders, Dart, MAYBE Ewers, I'd say his collegiate career easily puts him at #4 or #5. Hell, I wouldn't fault someone if they were to say he would be the 3rd guy above Dart and Ewers

Geno extended by the Raiders, pretty hefty guarantees, be dang hard to make any real change until that contract is expired. Especially for the Raiders ownership who never have cash available to write a big check and absorb the dead cap hit.

I think it's a fairly strong sign that Shaduer is OFF the table for the draft

Maybe, not sure they wanted to commit to a early pick on any QB this draft to start with but this contract doesn't prohibit taking a QB round one IMO as it would give the rookie time to develop behind a vet. Think the Raiders rather wait until later, be it this draft or the next.

Well no, sure doesn't prohibit it. But, doing so would be a bit weird. It would basically be a redo of the Falcons/Cousins/Penix deal last year if they did.. except Geno isn't coming off a career threatening injury, and Geno is about 1.5-2 years younger.

It's just not trendy these days to allow those first round picks to develop on the bench for a year+, and that's a shitpot of money for a backup to a 2nd/3rd year, and no one wants there top 10 pick QB sitting in year 2 or 3. Nor does Mark Davis have Arthur Blank money to write a check and eat it if he so chooses.

If this extension was only to end of '26 season, I'd be more skeptical, but this runs through '27, and they just can't eat it

Lets see what the actual details are, as I suspect that the Raiders have a way out at the end of 2026 despite initial announcement that it ties him to the Raiders through 2027.

Just for S's and G's I looked up some figures-

Mark Davis valuation is 2 billion
The Vegas Raiders are valued at 6.7B

The dude's entire net worth is based almost entirely on his 30% ownership stake. ughhh

Bright side: makes him more likely to sell.

well he had %47- well, him and his mommy had 47%- sold ten percent to Brady and his partner, and 2% here and 2% there, and less than 1% to Richard Seymour..slowly but surely he'll be forced to liquidate it all to various different entities, and then it'll be a real shit show with no true leadership until all parties find a real ownership group.

Help us Elon, you're our only hope

Are you guys talking about WNBA Champion Mark Davis???
I had no idea he owned the Vegas Aces, nor that they were WNBA champs

nor do I care that I didn't know- might even subtract from his net worth considering WNBA still doesn't turn a profit

Nah, he's getting those fat subsidy checks from the NBA on that one, and has one of the best players in the league in his team
