Just remember, Geno Smith was a bust with the Jets. He turned out ok.

Gonna be interesting here. Peyton talking smack, let's see if he knows what he's doing.

Btw, I'm hoping the Vikings hold onto their picks and go for the Rattler. Broncos pick Milton later on.
I would hope the Broncos are shooting for more than "OK". But you ain't wrong. History is littered with guys like Rich Gannon, Fitzpatrick, Geno, etc..who ended up having very nice careers after being let downs early on

Not Sure they think Wilson is the answer but he is a piece to the puzzle.

Jaylen Wright is also on my list of guys I HOPE end up in a good spot, and that MIGHT surprise a little. I didn't see anything on film to get all that excited about, but he does have some physical traits/abilities, that if he blossoms a bit, he could be a very interesting piece. He could easily be that next guy who wasn't necessarily expected to be much of anything more than a complimentary/role player, that shocks everyone and tears it up for few seasons.
The knock on him is that he played against a lot of light boxes in college but that just means he is more of an unknown than a probable bust. I think if he goes to a pass heavy offense (like KC) he'll be really good.

well when I reviewed film of him..I saw a guy who went down WAY too easily from far too little contact- that's my knock on him

Still a fairly high floor for a fast guy who can catch the ball.

heard this on the radio...

With the trade of Zach Wilson, all of the first round QB drafted in 2021 with the exception of Trevor Lawrence is on a different team.

Wilson
Lance
Fields
Jones

Yeah, but Joe said first-rounders. To help us fantasy doofs.

2020 was aces, though.
Yeah, it was. Still maybe some questions about Tua.

Huh. Chiefs need a WR. Hunter Renfrow needs a team.

Just sayin'.

I know I posted that somewhere on here in the past month or so, but I'll gladly say it again.

PERFECT fit for what they need.
I agree. Buried and ignored on the Raiders, someone's gonna wake up and grab this guy.

Mike Florio reminds me a lot of Colin Cowherd.

I can't stand either one of 'em.

Didn't we just see the Panthers do this stupid ass move last year and give up their best receiver in the deal to move up? It worked out really well for them since Bryce Young had nobody worth a shit to throw the ball to in his rookie year.

this Florio guy is a genius
Not only that but Florio's scenario involves Washington. They need to address a lot of positions have 6 picks in the top 100.
#2, 36, 40, 67, 78 and 100.
In an offensively strong class, why would you trade with Minny?

Just to play a devils advocate type scenario.

Minnesota holds #11 and #23. #11 is ahead of both Denver and Vegas, which by most accounts, are the final two "QB needy" teams in the upper half of the first round. given most people's opinions about how the draft will fall, its a relative certainty that either or both of Nix and Penix will easily be available at #11, possibly even one of the big 3/4..plenty of mocks have one of Maye/Daniels/McCarthy falling out of the top 5 or further.
Even if Vegas or Denver make a deal to jump ahead of you, there's still 1 or 2 of the big name QB's left at #11.

If I'm the Commanders GM, and I don't see a vast grand canyon of difference between Maye, Daniels, McCarthy, and Nix or Penix, if I think any of the five would fit my system, and have a relatively equal probability of being "my guy", why WOULDN'T I trade with Minny, pick up that extra later first round pick, probably another 2nd or 3rd as well, hell maybe more, never know just how crazy of a package it could be.
The only way you don't at least consider a trade, is if you are dead set in love with a guy, and you feel %10000 certain that Daniels/Maye/McCarthy is YOUR guy, no question about it.

I don't foresee them doing a deal, but it's not a stretch whatsoever to see the very real possibility of it. It all comes down to just how certain you are of the QB you've targeted being THE pick for you.

Now if Minny was BEHIND Denver/Vegas, then yes, there's no way I see a deal happening with them.
