Is he the cuff??
Probably, but honestly I'd expect Cam to lead the team in rush attempts, and CAP, Barber, Samuel, and Moore to get whatever scraps remain.and surely Armah vultures TD's at the worst possible moments.

Think youd be better off praying CMac stays active, and bank on someone else's handcuff

Someone else's cuff as in a Rod Smith, or Chase Edmund's, or Burkhead.
If the only way that roster spot becomes useful is due to injury, might as well fill it with someone who actually will be useful if the guy in front gets hurt

The Athletic's Nate Taylor reports Kareem Hunt is expected to be suspended the first six games of the 2019 season.

The NFL's investigation into Hunt won't be concluded until the offseason. He'll spend the rest of this year either out of the league or on the Commissioner Exempt List if he gets claimed off waivers. The optics of Hunt's situation have him in a bad spot with teams. Hunt may have to wait for the league to hand down discipline, but we expect him to resurface.

He'd be an idiot not to. The video painted him in a very bad light. Only way out now is to admit he was wrong and serve his punishment.

Not defending the guy at all - but why are this videos kept under-wraps for so long ? Seems in this day and age of blasting stuff on social-media for 'click numbers' or 'got'ya stories' this stuff would be all over the place minutes after it happens. No one seems to care on anything else if it's verified before-hand...just seems strange.

I'm guessing some hotel security chief had a sweetheart of a deal with either Hunt, the Chiefs, the NFL, or all three. Renegotiations apparently didn't go well

the hotel has no obligation to give the video to anybody but police (can require court order if needed) Dont forget they are protecting themselves from a lawsuit cause they let it happen on their property:suds:

If Hunt clears waivers and ends up a FA he's going to end up getting paid for his scummy behavior.

plot thickens
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Kareem Hunt is likely to get more than a six-game suspension for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy.
The NFL has been looking into another incident involving Hunt at an Ohio resort in June. He's facing two separate suspensions, putting him at risk for more than just the baseline six games. Hunt is considering "admitting his wrongdoing" and serving his suspension as soon as possible, allowing him to avoid closing out the year on the Commissioner Exempt List. There's still a lot of moving parts, but there's a chance Hunt's league discipline will be handed down before the offseason.

I actually do..someone may have broken a secret agreement, perhaps broken the terms of thier employment with the hotel, or something like that to leak it to them. Maybe TMZ applied some pressure, threatened a PR storm of sorts...but legal/illegal? I'll bet its near the line but on the legal side

The 2nd offense for DV is supposed to be a lifetime ban

NFL announces new domestic violence policy

"Goodell sent a letter to the NFL owners, which you can read in its entirely below, outlining the stiffer penalties: a six-game suspension without pay for the first offense and a lifetime ban for a second offense. Goodell specified that these rules will apply to all NFL personnel, including executives and owners, not just players. A player who receives a lifetime ban can petition for reinstatement after one year."

read that the local PD in the case never requested the video since it was classified as a misdemeanor.
they only do that stuff for felonies

at least that kinda sorta explains why it took so long for this video to surface, or that's what the cops say about it anyway. I'm sure the NFL/Chiefs/Hunt's agent were doing everything within their means to keep this off the radar forever.

Not so sure that's technically illegal either. Unethical perhaps. Likely more illegal for the employee than for TMZ
