It is a bummer, but I felt he was super overrated, what he did, absolutely zero for four years bouncing from team to team, and suddenly 8 games of moderate to great success, does not a reliable fantasy asset make

Not to mention BB seems to like to play mad genius with his RBs. Never invest heavily in a Pats RB and never make a Pats RB your RB1 or even RB2.

I will make an exception for a healthy Blount, in a standard scoring or TD only league. .otherwise, yep, nailed it

Obviously you'll disagree but I had him as my RB7 in dynasty I think. I think he proved he was a very good player in that stretch, NE proved they trusted and needed him, and he is only 25 (I'm pretty sure) - plus dynasty RBS are pretty shitty rn tbh.

SO MANY RBS LOOK AWFUL

Shady looked fast and even went north/south looking for contact.

Anyone watch preseason of their teams and just cringe every time a starts has the ball in his hands? It's like, I wanna see them, then it's, get them off the field!

nah, the way BB shifts and turns and twists and 180's, a good big heavy banger us a much more reliable option than an interchangeable scat back. If he can do that with Dion Lewis, whose been discarded by three other teams, he can do it with any number of guys with similar skillsets..and always has. Dion Lewis isn't the key here, the system is, and when is the system, the parts are interchangeable. Hard to teach "go out there and people over" though

Let me amend that a bit-

Yes in fantasy circles, the "experts" did consider him more reliable, but those "experts", as they often do, don't fully understand the game of football, they're chasing fool's gold

Watching the Patriots/Bears replay on NFL network...wow, Cutler still has a rocket..sad that he's missing whatever it is that elite QB's have in their mental makeup, his physical ability is still amazing

Yet lewis was much better than most NE rbs for a long time. And blount has been cast aside a few times too. Lewis was the perfect fit for the system. That's part lewis part the system. But not everybody can do what lewis can. I also think blount is a much more replaceable player.

There's a lot of shots taken at experts on here and I'm not sure why or who you're referring too. I don't listen to Mathew Berry and Michael Fabiano but there are still other experts who I do listen too. Most of them don't work for espn and yahoo. But there are certainly FF experts out there who know their shit.

Very similar per game numbers to 2013/14 Shane Vareen, who was a nice piece to own, but in no way a must have fanatasy asset. His out of nowhere start, the fact that he won multiple games for owners early on because he cost zero to pick up week 2, inflates his perceived value. .he's good, he's nothing special. If either James White or Brandon Bolden or Tyler Gaffney are given his job and they don't split it, they'll have similar numbers

I can't speak for anyone else, and many have specific guys they dislike or distrust. But when I speak towards "experts", I'm generally referring to the industry as a whole. Just take this year for instance, the early "expert" dirt rags get published, they all got together did their mock drafts for everyone to publish, and for whatever reason they decided to go with WR's, and now everyone simply bah's that same information like mindless sheep. None of them seem to ever "break rank".
