Do I think he has another 1K yard season?
No.
But I think he finds a niche in Shanny's scheme.

Evidence as to why the wire is closed until the draft. Guys like us can't get a jump on those poor bastards that have real lives
Mmmm pretty sure he'll still be on waivers after the season begins. I know I won't be rushing to the waiver wire to add him.

Dang, @ehb5 , what in the heck is going on in DC??
In a wide-ranging column detailing the Redskins' impending split with GM Scot McCloughan, the Washington Post explains the separation was caused by arguments over control and whether to sign Kirk Cousins long term, and the Redskins' lack of support for McCloughan.

We would recommend reading the piece below if you're any kind of an NFL fan. McCloughan felt disrespected the Redskins did not defend him when Chris Cooley spread a rumor McCloughan had relapsed into alcoholism. McCloughan also told people in 2016 he would have signed Cousins long term "if he had full control," which "angered" president Bruce Allen. McCloughan and the coaching staff clashed over McCloughan's preference of more-talented Rashad Ross over coaches-pet Ryan Grant. The Post reports McCloughan never stopped drinking, but "peers all agreed they didn't believe McCloughan's drinking ever hindered his job." Per the Post, the Redskins and McCloughan are now "working toward a buyout." Allen and coach Jay Gruden have won the power struggle.

Appearing on NFL Network Wednesday evening, reporter Mike Silver said it was his belief Redskins franchise player Kirk Cousins wants "no part" of Washington, and would like to be in San Francisco.

As the sides fail to make anything resembling progress in long-term talks, the Cousins/49ers rumors refuse to die. Not even San Francisco's Wednesday signing of Brian Hoyer has slowed the talk. The well seems poisoned enough to no longer be drinkable for Cousins in the nation's capital. 2017 is threatening to go off the rails for coach Jay Gruden.

I have no freaking clue. There have been sooo many reports and rumors over the past month and it's been nearly impossible to tell what has some truth to it and what's complete bs. I'll say this though - Mcgloughan is as good as gone and that's not good for us. Sometimes I hate this team. I love em but yeeesh.

On the bright side gruden became the 1st coach to ever get an extension under Snyder which is crazy but it was probably just to try and get some positive press.

As a long-suffering Bears fan I can relate to the emotional side.
But this whole dismantling of the Skins (from McVay to Cousins - if that rumor proves true) over disgruntled pride and position is inexcusable. And certainly not professional.
How do team executives let an implosion of a 3rd-ranked yardage offense and 12th-ranked points offense happen uncontested?
I'd be livid.

Not big news since pretty much everyone expected it. ....

DeSean Jackson - WR - Buccaneers
Buccaneers agreed to terms with WR DeSean Jackson, formerly of the Redskins.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jackson's new deal will top $10 million annually. Jackson was connected to a number of teams leading up to his signing, but the Bucs were always thought of as the favorites. The move makes a ton of sense for both sides. Jackson should thrive as a deep threat for cannon-armed Jameis Winston while taking some of the pressure off Mike Evans. Jackson, Kenny Stills and Pierre Garcon are all off the market, leaving Alshon Jeffery and Terrelle Pryor as the top receivers available in free agency.

Move Jameis up the ranks with that one.

He has two big time targets and a reliable TE he likes in the redzone. Big year coming.
