Yea saw that too. Hope not, as much as I'd love to see it. I like rotoworld's little tidbit of Oakland being a good fit though. Can't imagine AP is ready to be a complimentary back yet.

Shefter reports the Chiefs are releasing Charles!!! Things are heating up

Spencer Ware stock on the rise???
Or does this put Chiefs in the hunt for one of these early round rookie RBs?
Hard to see them drafting offense in the first 2 rounds and not going after a big WR.

This is kind of funny.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports free agent Jamaal Charles' priority is to sign with a Super Bowl contender.
Um, the Chiefs were in the playoffs.

I guess he wants to play for a playoff team that didn't cut him?
Just had that exact same convo with a buddy at work regarding Chiefs being a contender.

Panthers seem like a good fit since their short yardage back takes direct hand offs.

Not everyone can go to the Cowboys.
Good call, Monkey. I like the Panthers as a destination.
That would work for AP too.

Oddly enough, the Cowboys, with a second year Zeke, and (gag) Alf Morris already on the team, have been linked to both AP and Charles through various rumors. If anything, why wouldn't they just resign DMC at a near veteran minimum? Or even more likely, draft a guy on day 2 or 3 for depth. There's zero reason to go after either future HOF'er (well potentially in Charles case, if TD snuck in, Charles should too imho), when much cheaper alternatives are plentiful, and you don't need anything but bodies.

Besides, they only have about 5 mill under the cap right now and no matter what happens with Romo, the best relief they'll get is around another 10 mil..they're not going to be big players in the RB market

As a fan of a team that could use a RB I don't want my team touching either of those guys for more than like $1 mil. I'd prefer Charles though.

Brandin Cooks being shopped? I saw this on a couple different sites, including ESPN. Tennessee and Philly are the leaders right now. Tennessee could give up 18 for him, or 5 for him and 11. Philly could give up 14 or 15, depending on their coin flip.
