I have to admit, I'm not sure I am going to enjoy this auction draft thing too much. I haven't liked my team in any of the mocks that I have done. I think I am zeroing in on a strategy, but so far, I like the snake style much better.

I do have a question, though. How does the ww work? Are we bidding on those players also and still have to stay under the initial $200 cap? So, if I drop a $1 and don't have any extra money, all I can bid for a FA would be $1?

After the draft each team is given an amount of money I believe $100 and you bid on players that are on the WW. Highest bid wins.

And you can ignore the initial $200 limit?

It's something new for me too. It's gonna be fun. Might be tossing away some cash but it's a lot more strategy based and also gives you a chance to actually get guys you really want where as in a snake you really don't have much of a choice.

This really forces us to value guys. It's gonna be fun.

I hear ya. I'm sure it will be more fun than I am thinking it will be. Especially, since I "know" most of the people in the league from here.

That is correct, once the auction is finished the $200 limit is done. I believe we all get $100 to spend in free agency.

So I did an action practice draft for the first time....not sure if guys were goofing around or I have to be more patient but I got 3 star players and only had $39 left for the other 13. These auction drafts take much longer than a regular draft as well. I am looking forward to it though.

Take practices auction drafts as serious as you would a mock draft. most people aren't gonna do the same things in a real auction.

I just did a mock and I had about $40left over at The end. I guess I wasn't as aggressive as I should have been

I got one high dollar player and a bunch of guys in the $20-$30 estimated value range for about half price or less.

I think I am going to do another one tonight. I have a price chart, pretty much set prices on each position and price limits, we will see if it works. I will sorta treat it like one of these cap drafts, the only difference (huge difference) is you don't control the prices lol.

I've been doing mocks also and haven't really like my teams, but those mocks include bots which IMO kind of throw the whole thing off. Going try some more mocks and see how it goes.
