Haha. They do look alike.

The case with the Trout situation is the ball was actually in the stands as Trout was reaching for it while the Yankees situation was a fan reaching into the field of play.

Apparently, there are different rules involving a ball that is the crowd and thus the reason interference was not called on the Trout play.

Also, as I have read it, Trout actually met with the fan after the game and autographed the ball for his kid.
