Yep, it's amazing how poor the run blocking has been since Lauvao went out.
Sure we played them tough and had a chance to steal one. But we got totally outplayed and were only in it due to a poor day by Ryan and their two missed field goals.
Really disappointed that our best tackle, Koren Robinson, missed that key tackle on Freeman late.
Kirk is what he is. Great to see him demonstrate that clutch gene at the end for the second week in a row. But he remains inaccurate and inconsistent and you just can't build a team around a guy like that. He is good enough to sign for next yeasr but we need to find our loing term QB.
I could not have been more wrong about the decision to cut Kai Forbath.
I tend to agree with you about KC. I have seen definite growth. Does he still make mistakes? Absolutely. But it doesn't appear to destroy him like it did last year. He moves this offense. He knows how to read a defense. He avoids sacks. Two weeks in a row he has led scoring drives to either win or tie in the 4th quarter. He is growing, I'm not so sure what the rush is to write him off. Let's face it, there isn't going to be a FA or draft pick in 2016 that is going to be better than him.First how were we completely outplayed when we took the game to over time?? Had we gone into the 4th down by 20 or more, then yes you could say we were completely outplayed. Did we give up more on the ground then I expected?? Yes and by a long shot. But in the end we went on the road and actually played to the level of a team every one thought would crush us.
Secondly as far as Kirk goes, I will ask the same broad ranged question I have asked before but I will be more direct. Why is the assumption that he is what he is and cant develop thus we "NEED" to find our long term solution?? Aside from a poor game against the Giants kirk has played solid for the most part. Was he a little off yesterday?? Sure. Bur he still completed 65% of his passes and is closer to 70% on the year. If his name were Manning, Luck, Wilson or even Griffin people around here would take that in a heart beat. especially considering that this is actually what his 17th start?? Seriously, is it that he just isnt Kool enough or that we didnt invest enough draft picks into him to show a little patience??
