The glorified scrimmage is not practice. The actual practices and real scrimmages before the glorified one actually matter and mean something.

It's a game management practice regarding clock, substitutions, calling in plays, en sech.

They would have the game simulation scrimmage whether the public was invited or not.

I believe Pelini is on record stating he'd rather the public wasn't there..

Pelini didn't want the game to be televised in the past, so I doubt if he changed his mind all of a sudden. He has no choice now. Maybe our new athletic director put his foot down on this one.

The spring game is a meaningful practice, but not as much as it was before Callahan was hired. How much actual team improvement have we seen lately from practices?
