If he declassified documents, they are not classified. That is within his authority. Whether or not they are in accordance with that statute you gave is up to the courts. The documents themselves are not classified if he declassified them while he was POTUS.

I want criminal charges brought against the perpetrators. This is done in the courts. Congress has the ability to pass laws. Everything done is already illegal so they are not acting within their authority. That is the problem with these Congressional investigations. I want the DOJ to pursue this matter because that is within their authority.

Again you are conflating the reasons. If the government is using unauthorized or illegal means to get me what I want, I don’t deserve what I want. It is not about democrats. The Republicans are about to open investigations into Hunter Biden. The left is going to complain that the attack is political. Personally, the investigation into Hunter should be done by the DOJ, except as it pertains to Joe because Congress has the authority to conduct investigations into the executive branch. It is a check. There will also be investigations by committees into all sorts of other improprieties. On the surface, I would have issues with this because this keeps everybody at each other’s throats...that being said, the democrats have brought it upon themselves.
