As for the peaceful transition of power, the country was founded on a war because of lack of representation. If people feel the election was rigged, it would make sense to have the people’s voices heard if it delayed the results for a day or two...not excusing the violence.

The democratic chairman of the committee didn’t have a problem with it, the majority of the reps on the committee are democrats…they all voted to release their report, they knew what was in it, right? You insist Trump declassified these documents while totally ignoring the point that even if this is true that does not change the content and the fact that we had some of most guarded secrets sitting in a fucking golf course. Had Obama done this you would have been screaming "lock him up" as soon as the story broke. And again declassifying does not change the law, and the law says every government document it to be returned to the feds once the President leaves office.

I'm not sure if you are the Reptec J.y had refenced but I'll take a shot here. Congress has broad authority to hold investigations. As far back as the Pujo Committee Hearings of 1912-1913 they were investigating banks. There are many examples of this, surely you remember the Enron investigation no?

As for the docs you may want to familiarize yourself with the Presidential Records Act. Yes he stole these documents that belong by law in the National Archives.

Well I'm not around all that much so I'll take your word for it. And again I can see why you would believe this is a waste of time. What I can't understand is why ever single Republican here is willing to die on this hill. Do you have any idea how much time Congress wastes? Have you seen a speaker on the Hill go on and on as the members check out? . Rarely does what is said in these endless speeches amount to anything. They will vote party line or make a backroom deal. Yet they sit through hours of speeches that most of the time amount to nothing.

And again what about the victims? I swear I am the only poster here who has shown sympathy for them.
