Not sure if would have rated Special Teams ..so special!..he didn't mention anything about the number of returns against them for TD's...I would say they definitley improved as the year went on...

All credibility in this article was lost when STs received an A, he looked ONLY at three players, what about the fair catches at the five, what about bringing kicks out of the end zone to be tackled at the 15? What about the horrible coverage on punts and kicks. STs gets a C at best. The grades for offense and defense I can accept, but he lost in on STs, just because your kicker is good........
I have to agree, Im not sure the guy even watched many of our games to be honest. I think he got close on a couple, by dumb luck. Typical ESPN laziness..
yep, too many holes. had some bright spots and solid in some areas but way too inconsistent for an "A" grade.Yeah no way ST gets a "A"...B- at best.
Kept us in Bama game
Won MD and TTech game
Lost KST game for us IMO
Kept Sooners in he game
2 KO for TDs
Have up 3 TDs (2 punt, 1 KO)
To many muffs and fumbles and no returns of merit on punt team.
No way they get an "A"
He is the Big 12 blogger for ESPN. He watched more WVU football than DAD.
How many schools could you say the same thing about?
Are we grading on a bell curve? I don't see that what anyone else does makes our lack of great ST play any better.
I am not being serious DAD! Give me a fucking break!
BTW, you never got back to me about all those Marshall football HC with previous HC experience.
Try do divert attention from your ridiculous remark , I DID NOT say Marshall hired previous HCs, I SAID, Marshall did just fine hiring HCs and keeping up a high level of play until they hired Snyder. BTW, two of the four did have previous HC experience, the other two were coordinators at big schools under great HCs.
If you thought my lame comment was serious, you are more of a dipshit than I already thought. Congrats!
That isn't what you said nor implied about Marshall's head coaches. And, they did not maintain a high level of play under each of their hires. Talk about lame...

They hired Parrish, with HC experience, and in 1984 had their first winning record in 20 years, his two years they went 13-8-1, Parrish went to coach a B12 team when he left
They then got Chaump, also with HC experience, they didnt miss a beat, going 33-16-1, with two of the four years going deep into the playoffs, he left for Navy
They then hired Donnan, the OC at Oklahoma, which qualifies him as a genius per your thoughts of B12 OCs......He was 64-21, winning the playoff once, and losing the championship game to Tressel twice, he left to go to Georgia
They then hired Pruett, Spurrier's DC at Florida, he went 94-23 at Marshall, setting numerous records, winning the 1AA championship, transitioning to 1A, a tougher league, and a schedule OOC that included some great teams.
So yes, until they screwed up hiring Mark Snyder, they played at a high level, and changed coaches without missing a beat, and now Holliday has them going in the right direction again. Get a clue, BB. You are letting your bias rule what you read and post.
The reason the big boys can replace a coach and not miss a beat is that they hire proven head coaches, not by hiring assistants and hoping they learn the job. Look at Marshall several years ago, they changed coaches like you change socks, yet didn't miss a beat.
You need to stop...
Here was your post on the other thread...
You implied that Marshall didn't miss a beat as they changed coaches... because they only hired head coaches with past head coaching experience... just like the big boys. In 30 years, they went through a shit load of coaches, and hired exactly 2 with previous head coaching experience. Not sure if I've ever seen anyone refer to over 30 years in the manner you have, but I'm not surprised you'd want to defend your defenseless post.
You are a true piece of work.
Coming from the guy who wants to grade football on the bell curve.....You want to say you have to keep shitty coaches to have continuity, I showed otherwise. If you nitpicked the football program like you do my posts.......There was TWO points being made in that post, you knew that, yet chose to post your nonsense
