Im not saying alabama isnt a good team, they just arent as above the rest that talking heads would have you believe
So you enjoy doing things you hate. That is an interesting fact. You are the one who offered facebook, and no i dont use facebook i hate even typing the words on my keyboard
Great win but Should that win be enough to say hey 2 loss Georgia you belong in the playoff. That auburn win means that sec this yr is on a different level than the rest of the country
I’m having fun with it. It exposes supposed top analysts as nothing more than hot takers2 of the top 4 post right now are about ESPN talking about 2 SEC teams in and Fox having ND out. Does OP or anyone else not clearly see they are doing this deliberately? It's not that they actually believe that or there's some big conspiracy going on. They are just throwing out something controversial talking point to get people like you fired up and talking about it. That's how sports talk works.
LOL over rated top 5 team... sure i mean yes you all won. I just think its not a foregone conclusion that they even win round 1 at this point like i had previously thought. My opinion means jack shit, i dont know why some retards get so worked up over what i think. We will see for sure i mean maybe they are being Jekyll and hydeGuess we will see. Played like shit tonight and still won against a top5 teams, I'll take it.
That’s fine and a respectful answer. I’m not going to argue that. My entire argument is this opinions pushed out by the media as factsI said earlier I don't think conference championship losers should make it to the playoffs as a general rule.
But if you asked me who would win between ND and Georgia, I'm picking Georgia.
I would agree to an extent, id say its a 50/50 game for sure though i havent seen ND recently like i have georgia but i wasnt impressed the last time i saw ND playI said earlier I don't think conference championship losers should make it to the playoffs as a general rule.
But if you asked me who would win between ND and Georgia, I'm picking Georgia.
The defense yes. But the balance on Offense will again be a problem for Clemson.
He's just going to veer off topic when you reply with facts.Says the guy who is literally non stop replying......
You guys have good balance against teams that can't stop the run for sure. That wasn't meant as a disrespect to Clemson. Facing elite teams is different than a bunch of 7 win teams. Georgia is more Physical than Clemson which is the bigger problem when you guys face Alabama. Sorry not responding to your whole wall of text.Do you just not watch football? Yes, Clemson has a really good running attack with four backs it uses. However, to say the offense isn't balanced seems insane to me. Clemson is #3 in total offense and #5 in scoring offense. Lawrence has 2600 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, and only got the starting job against Syracuse (though he was injured early, so really Wake Forest). Since Wake, Clemson is #2 in both total offense and scoring offense (don't get me wrong, I think Bama has a better offense than Oklahoma, but we're talking about statistics).
I think UGA exposed real weaknesses in Bama's secondary, which has been a chink in the armor for years. Fromm has less passing yards, more interceptions, and the same touchdowns as Lawrence, and again, Lawrence only started in 8 games. Since becoming a starter, Lawrence has been averaging 246 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and .25 INTs a game, which isn't far behind Tua with 265 yards, 2.5 TDs, and .6 INTs a game in that same time period. Both players get pulled early (Trevor didn't play in the second half in 3 of the 8 games, and was pulled in the third in four of the others), so this comparison is pretty apt.

Actually kind of amusing seen a Bama fan pimp an Auburn win over "PAC 12 Champs" Washington which is debatable. I'm not sure Washington is the PAC champs if not for snow. Wazzu's system isn't built for snow. The ironic part is the Washington Auburn game. Was a Washington home game played in Georgia.....
Same formula 1 P5 neutral site,2 G5s ,bye week before 1 rivalry, FCS bye week before second rivalry
Play an 8 game schedule to avoid conference loss distribution. Use that slot for the padded FCS bye week win on cupcake week.
When you play a 9 game schedule that shifts W/L and makes it appear teams that play an 8 game conference schedule have a better win differential. Its an illusion....
While avoiding cross conference games which is part of a 9 game conference schedule. Like Bama UGA play every other leap year during the regular season.
That leaves claiming ranked teams. Which is nothing more than who the media likes. And coaches voting to shift rankings in their favor or their conferences favor. Pretty much useless. No different with the committee they have no criteria
SEC is smoke and mirrors. Schedule and numbers manipulation
Tbh Clemson should be ranked ahead of Bama if we are going by actual schedule. At least they played Tamu and So car OOC
You're right over rated conference
Again deflecting and veering off topic isn't going to cut it. All you're accomplishing is confirming the facts. The SEC is watered down football.Unless you can defy the laws of math......
I'm so good I catch 2 with one worm. Didn't even realize I still had you on the hook.

This is what happens when you have no criteria. People can just make their own criteria, and make the case as to why it fits. Like, with the NFL, the 4 division winners get top spots, no matter the record. Some hate that, but we accept it because it's the criteria.
If College football sets something in stone before the season, it would take out nearly all of this drama
If they want a true champion. The only way they are going to accomplish this is through progression. Build off the play offs and go 6 to 8 teams. Use a set criteria for qualification. Reduce the human influence and put it on the field where it belongs. Under the current format we are headed toward watered down regular season schedules and no CCG's. Or question marks surrounding every play off.
I do like @Mistaken4193 format the most.I say almost completely remove the human element. 8 teams. The 5 P5 Conference Champions all get an automatic bid. Then the highest ranked G5 team gets a bid, and then the two highest ranked wild-cards. This way there's no way an undefeated team gets left out. It also encourages teams to schedule tough out of conference games, since they can still get in even with a loss, and will still scoop up conference losers who genuinely seem like very strong teams (like UGA). I also think they would be very marketable games. We can still use rankings to determine seeding.
This year it would be something like:
Rose Bowl: Bama vs. Washington
Orange Bowl: Clemson vs. UCF
Sugar Bowl: Notre Dame vs. Georgia
Fiesta (or Cotton) Bowl: Ohio State vs. Oklahoma
I think Bama and Clemson would win theirs with ease, but they would still be intriguing games, and I think a lot of people would watch them for the upset factor. This captures every team with an arguable claim to the championship.
