Alabama has played Georgia 1 time in conference since 2008. They aren't scheduled to play again in SEC play till 2020.

Just for reference since 1996 when the Big XII was formed they (Georgia, and Alabama) have played 5 times in 22 years.

It pretty easy to inflate your record when you get an extra cupcake game. Let take cross division games into account for say the Big XII in Nebraska vs Oklahoma. They (Oklahoma and Nebraska) played 8 times in Conference between 1996 and 2010 when they left. They haven't been in the same conference for 8 years, but still have more games against each other than Georgia and Alabama in conference games.

The SEC manipulates their scheduling.

The defense yes. But the balance on Offense will again be a problem for Clemson.

Yeah they didn’t really show much tonight but they really didn’t need to. Will be interesting to see who they get matched up with first. If it’s ND it will be a defensive battle. Not sure they could keep up with OU tho.

My question would be what stiff competition did anyone play? Nobody has a resume that goes holy shit this yr. the ooc schedules sucked. The games that Nd scheduled ended up being weak. The big push for Georgia was that they choked against bama.

You do realize that sec teams records are protected like no other conference. Every other conference is guaranteed 7 more losses on their schedules due to the extra conference gm

I do love when people talk about who should’ve won. Which means they lost. Georgia vs gt, bama vs ville, Florida vs FSU, Missouri over Purdue, Miss st over kst, etc. I’m glad 12 gms total in a conference of 14 can tell us how strong a conference you are in
