Bite your tongue....

Honestly I would have Oregon as a contender but I have no faith in the current coaching staff. I said it before, I'll say it again, hiring within the Coaching staff to fill the HC vacancy was a bad move by the Ducks.

If we aren't able to navigate through a terrible Big12 undefeated, then we wont win shit.

I think you guys should be fine, but Texas is a rivalry game as we saw last year. Got to beat the Long Horns. I think Baylor is a complete joke this year, them getting all this recognition is laughable. Bryce Petty is a beast, but he can't do it alone.

We will see. It is a possibility.

However, The last 4 Duck HC hires were all internal. They have the longest tenured staff at positional coaches in CFB.

I do love the def coordinator hire from within. Don Pellum is transforming the identity of the Ducks defense.

Oregon has done it with their last 3 head coaches. it has been working so far.

I dont think the Big 12 will be as bad this yr. Last year saw new QBs basically everywhere. It was just a bad product last yr. I am not calling for a return to early 2000s, but it will not be the mess it was last year.

:agree:we saw that last year, Helfrich lost control of that team when we heard all the talk about being disappointed in which bowl they were going to

Texas AM will not finish in the top 20 when the regular season is over. Same for Missouri.

How many of these schools does your team play? Who are the biggest pretenders? Who are the actual contenders?

FSU
Clemson

SU gets both Clemson and FSU. SU also has ND in NYC. Should be a fun year.

I felt like he lost control too. Kinda lost his team. I don't think he really has their respect. I'm not sure he's the guy to lead Oregon, but time will tell.

BAYLOR is not a contender at all.
They cannot win on the road at all versus any team with a pulse.

They beat a 1-3 Kansas State team on the road last season before the wildcats figured things out a bit.

That might be their best road victory in the entire era of Art Briles.
It is exceedingly laughable if you look at their road wins (very few) in the last 6 or 7 years....and almost nonexistent road wins versus teams with winning records.

They will be good every odd year when they get the tough games at home.
This year they travel to Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia and likely go 0-3.

Clemson will have another average season compared to "elite" standards, with 8 or so wins. The kool-aid drinking, Tiger faithful will rave about how good a season we had because of how much talent we lost after last season, and instead of demanding more from our staff and admins, they will praise them and push for a raise for Tommy Bowden and his crew ........... err, I mean Dabo. GO TIGERS!

edit: Oh yea, we play USC and FSU on that list.
