This is good news regarding Montgomery. He and Amaro have made poor decisions together. Middleton Is still working on getting a controlling interest as we speak. The Phils are scouting the Dodgers minor league prospects In a heavy fashion. Seems that they are ready to step up while Boston is looking at other options. However I would prefer to keep Hamels for another season at least.

I don't trust Eskin. Plus it's not like only Montgomery wanted Hamels to stay. I think it's alllll :bullshit:.

Well maybe we'll get lucky if somebody with some sense gets control of the perpetual trainwreck.

Yeah, same old Howard. :pound:

First set of moves that will occur... ...They'll trade everyone except Howard, Rollins, and Utley.

If they make any move, retro, we'll be saying wtf. Retardo and Brown will probably sign for what's offered. One or both could be part of a deal as the Phils look at OFs and SPs. I really don't think they'll let Brown go though. Revere of course will get a big increase.

I like the Dodgers prospects a lot better.

Joc Pederson is a tall CF with power and average who just killed it in AAA Albuquerque.

Corey Seager is a big SS who hits for high average, recently at AA.

I'd trade Hamels straight up for those two. Clears salary and gives us two everyday players, one in 2015 and one in 2016. A left side of the infield of Crawford and Seager would be good for years. Move Franco to 1b and the other young guy to 2b and we could be fun again. You can always buy pitching.

Wouldn't be a bad deal for LA either.

I think I'd do that if I was Amaro. They may not pan out but that's two good prospects, plus it may convince Rollins and Utley that they are not good enough to win this year (something that is obvious to almost everybody but those guys are so competitive that maybe they actually think they can still win).

The Dodgers won't trade either player. They have an old OF except for Puig so they'll protect Pederson who's ready. Seager is their future ss. Both guys had great seasons this year.
Joc Pederson, 22, OF, AAA. 2014 33 hr, 78 rbi, .303/.435/.582
Corey Seager, 20, SS A/AA, 2014, 20 hr, 97 rbi, .349/.402/.602

Agreed. But ace lefties in their prime don't come cheap.
