I don't know if he kicked, I was asking. I heard the announcer say Karlsson was down and looked up to see him seriously wincing and throw his stick.

Okay they just replayed it, Cooke used his leg to leverage Karlsson into the boards and his blade came down inside Karlsson's boot.

The reaction of Karlsson is hard for me to watch, but the slow-mo replay at the end of the clip shows pretty clear that Cooke was slew-footing him before the hit the boards.

Oh, and I think I now understand why the Pens broadcast didn't show it again.
