I just feel bad for the players. Just not the right way to let them know. I think the announcement could have waited for tomorrow afternoon. get the team together in a room nearby and tell them right after or even before you go in and tell the media.

If Bo came to him and said he needed to put all the controversy aside than he pushed the issue and SE didn't really have a choice but to put it out there.

Either way at least he didn't tell him not to get on the bus back Friday.

I believe the position has to be made public for a minimum of one week before they can fill it. That's not to say they don't have someone in mind or a verbal deal hasn't already been done. By law, all state positions have to be available to eveyone, if I remember correctly.

That Cotton will be the interim for the bowl game indicates the latter.

Not uncommon. We knew Bo was gonna be HC and he was allowed to DC coach the NC game for LSU.
