I was at lunch (Yes, Roosters... It's like crack) and Sportcenter had a ten minute segment on "Lundquist Cools Off" and had Barry Melrose talking about how the Rangers count on Henrik to bail them out, and he hasn't been doing that. He showed the Johnson dunk as proof that Lundquist is struggling.

Yeah, the one where 3 Lightning players cycled on five Rangers and were all looking at the guy with the puck and did nothing to block the lane to the guy wide open at the crease's edge. The Mullet thought that was Lundy's fault.

Then, to top it, they faded out on this:

They showed that goal two or three times also. I am now convinced McDonagh changed direction on it, just as the shot got released.

Maybe I'm being too critical because Henrik has set the bar pretty high, but I though there was about 3 goals (including the GWG) that he didn't look very good on.

Going into the playoffs I heard some people in the media talk about how fast the Rangers are. The Lightning were the #1 scoring team in the league. They're faster than the Rangers.

Besides I've heard Lundqvist is the best goalie in the league for awhile now. Sorry, I never believed it & I still don't. He was supposed to be the best shootout goalie & he lost one that cost his team a playoff spot. I'm not saying this because I'm an Isles fan either. I view players differently than most I guess. I saw a magazine recently that rated who were the best goalies ever. They had Hasek #1. Sorry, but I would have put Jacque Plante #1. I feel there are a lot of so called experts who forget how good a lot of the players were from back in the day. Goalies today play with much better & bigger equipment than they did.

Why carry the backup if you're not even thinking he is an option?

Oh I don't disagree, in fact I said earlier in this thread that it would be a ballsy move for AV to start Talbot for game 4. However, he hasn't played in six weeks, so there's bound to be considerable rust.

Henrik was bad the other night, but so was their defense. They're pinching far too often and getting caught, leaving one defenseman back to play next to a forward. We saw how that worked with Kreider, who left the leading goal scorer in the playoffs wide open for a tap in.

I know AV hates to change his game plan, but it's also the definition of insanity to try the same thing over and over when it's not working! They can score on Bishop without 5 guys crashing the net, anyway.

Nash = Marleau

Both afraid of physical playoff hockey.

Lucky Pierre will buy Matt Sekeres a case of beer if Talbot replaces Henrik at any point in this series...

Take advantage of power plays...cuz the lighting 4SHOW R....

And I agree if there is a fix and they want to have 2 of the ORIGINAL 6 play in the cup we should start seeing some very bad calls...

Someone should probably tell the Rangers that Tyler Johnson is pretty good, and maybe they might want to stop leaving him wide open in front of the net so often. :L

He's not gonna miss that shot very often.

Alex Killorn has had two grade A opportunities so far - eventually they'll start taking advantage, he's finding holes in their defense

Sigh

Lightning work hard to tie it and then give up two quick goals and this last one was just horrible luck

6-2 6-5 5-1

Last 3 games

13-13 goals for and against

Not what I expected from these teams but it's fun
