Its not. Miami kicked the title favorites ass in a quick 5 games then controlled the knicks series
Dude, the Celtics have been the favorites all Season.

Miami was a play in team with a gimp Lowry, who they likely tried to deal, an injured Herro, a injured Dipo ,Butler, Bam and a team counting on a bunch of undrafted guys and trash ass Robinson.

Celtics should absolutely have been the sizable favorites over what the Heat were in the regular Season.

Not everyone was a true believer in Playoff Jimmy.

Bet they are now.

+200 range is still solid underdogs.

+400 is you stink range

For example in baseball, you never see +400 odds unless you are a team heading for 100+ losses

It's time to discuss the fact that it looks like the Heat play better without Herro. Their offense runs more through Bam and Butler now, and his terrible defense is not a problem.

Celtics have no leader. Once behind they have trouble finding the court.
Once they get up by 10 they can't maintain and have to battle point to point.
If they get up by 25 they slide and win by 8 or 10 win a minimal effort.

They need a Butler type or someone on the court who's not afraid to call them and piss them off.

Jeez, Cowens could play with more enthusiasm tonight than this gang.

If they somehow pull out of this shithole and win the NBA Championship, I'd still get ris if Smart and Trade Jalen Brown for real Power forward with an attitude.

Playoffs maybe but regular season? Hell no

Jimmy would have to extend himself too much in the regular season without Herro. Also think Herro would be necessary for a possible series vs Denver. Can kill Jokic in those drop coverage looks

Tatum is pretty darn clutch.

Can't expect him to do it every game though.

I'm not really sure what it is with Boston. I think they're the better team in this series and I thought they were the better team against Golden State last year. They have periods where they look unbeatable, and they have lapses where they just fall apart as a team.

The data was correct just a bit incomplete. One wouldnt think less home games help lol.

They don’t help.

The difference is that the teams who earn home court are usually as good or better than the team they go done 0-2 against.

Not the case when the favorite wins 2 in a row.

They don’t play better without Herro, but they would benefit more with him on the bench than him starting. Also, Miami really struggled in the Regular Season when Herro missed games.

The notion that they’re a better team without Herro is ridiculous.

These playoffs show it's not 'ridiculous'. Maybe there's more to it but the question is there.

It actually is ridiculous. Jimmy dont play like this in the regular season. Expecting him to play this way for the 6 month grind that is the regular season is ridiculous
