Bad game for us.

Stupid things I noticed that drove me nuts when I coached.

The Pens had an offside when on a Kill.
The Pens have had two icing while the net was empty.

Yeah very uninspired, sloppy and very typical for Malkin/Crosby these last couple of years.

That was very disappointing. Lightning brought their "A" game & we weren't up for the task.

Maatta can't be trusted to play this series IMO.

Just some suggestions for the next game...

1) Get Maatta out of the lineup. He's been our weakest link for a while now, and that was quite evident on that goal by Alex Killorn.

2) Put Kunitz back on Sid's line in Sheary's place. Sid & Sheary get in each others way and Kunitz hasn't done anything for Geno's line either.

I might draw up the lines like this...
L1: Kunitz/Sid/Hornqvist
L2: Kuhnhackl/Geno/Fehr
L3: Kessel/Bonino/Hagelin
L4: Rust/Cullen/Sheary
D1: Letang/Daley
D2: Schultz/Cole
D3: Pouliot/Lovejoy

I hope doumalin is ok...dude was playing well this game. Can't say Letang or Crosby showed up at all. Once again, Skid disappearing in the playoffs. He's a negative player and only takes 2 shots a game. Fuking Lovejoy had 5!!!

Seemed that the Bolts were giving the center drive all game but the Pens insist on dumping to a winger...just stupid

We have 2 days to think about it, hopefully we'll see a much different Pens team show up for game 2.

I'm not worried about Letang, I know he will have a bounce back game.

At the same time, I know for a fact that Maatta will not have a bounce back game, and it's a complete disgrace that he gets to keep playing (in spite of his obvious faults) just because of his contract
