No problem with it. Just a waste of money. SM is not going to blow all our cap space in one offseason. My point is that you don't need a legit deep threat to be successful in the league. Reed,Garcon, and Crowder are plenty to have a successful offense. Plus the running game should be better next year if we add olineman. So it makes jacksons impact worth even less.

If you don't think Jackson would command 10M let me know what you think he signs for annually. You seem to think that he will take less than what he signed for in 2014. I just disagree. You have to remember this is his last deal. He has to cash in and go where the money is.

Jackson gets a deal similar to what Brandon Marshall got from the Jets. 3 years $9M fully guaranteed. $26m total value. Maybe a little higher.

You still havent given me an even remotely viable replacement for him. Not some rookie, some one the defense legit has to account for.

And forgive me if I question your eye for talent as most of the guys you wanted to see gone are doing quite well in other places, and the guys you pounded the mat for are giving us average, injured, or does he even still play for us kinds of a season.

The funny thing would be if Moses gets an extension in the offseason and Jackson doesn't get an offer to come back.

Moses is average, and still under contract. What possible reason would they extend him early?? OH thats right... no good reason.

They can... but again why would they?? I mean unless you really think Moses is going to make the leap from Average to all pro in 2017. And even then, how expensive do you really think a Right Tackle is going to be?? They dont need to touch his deal this year.

I don't have too. The guys we have can carry our offense. You don't need a legit deep threat to have a successful offense. I already proved that. You don't realize that every years FA guys get more money. So you cant take a previous years contract.

My eye for talent is fine. Especially in the draft. NO way in hell I would trade down for Matt Jones and pass up David Johnson. That trade down netted us Kojo but what a blunder we had made. If you are referring Amerson and Riley you have a small point. Most of the fanbase wanted them gone. I would take Norman over Amerson any day of the week.

Who are the guys that I pounded the mat for?

They would get a better price. If he has a good year in 2017 then they would pay more. Isnt bulaga a Rt. He makes huge money.

Dean.. no offense.. but I place your eye for talent some where above Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles, and just below Vinny Cerrato. Any one thinking Ziggy Hood should have not only made this roster, but be a starter.... Come on man.

As for the guys we have carrying the offense.... you havent noticed that when Jackson is out.. our offense stalls?? We have no deep threat and teams know it, they sit on the underneath routes and double Reed.

Did you seriously just compare Moses to one of the top three RTs in the league?? Bulaga has started in a Super Bowl, was a first round pick. The only way Moses even sniffs that kind of cash is if we make it to and WIN the Super Bowl. And even then, there is zero reason to extend Moses NOW when he is still under contract for another year.

Side note... We can refer to Garcpn as PG, We can refer to Jackson as DJ( although I had the initials first), or D-Jax.

But I vote we not refer to Vernon Davis as VD... cause under no circumstances do I want to add VD to any mix.

Now as for which we should keep. If it came to it I say Jackson only because I think its alot easier to find a possession WR in either the draft or FA. Home run threats that can take the top off a defense and demand double coverage are alot harder to come by. Jackson might only have one trick, but when that trick works, more often than not it either scores, or puts us in position to score on the next play or two.

Say no to VD .... we can all  on that one.

i am going with STvD

I agree. Garcon would be worth more to us than any other team. I have no problem in giving him 6-7 mil per season. I wouldn't even make Jackson an offer. He is as good as gone.

Garcon, Doctson, Crowder, Grant, and Harris is still solid. No need to draft or pickup a WR.

Still solid? They haven't done anything as a group to get solid.

DJ at 7-8 is my offer.
PG at 5-6 is my offer.
Moses can and will wait. An extension now is a joke.

And Dean, did you really say Dallas and Atlanta didn't have deep threats? I am pretty sure Dez and Julio are just that.

The Hood think was that you guys had him cut in training camp and now he is our starter. That is very poor judge of talent. I was right there. I don't think he is the greatest but I knew he would make the team when u guys had him cut.

No they are not. they can get deep yes but not deep threats like a Jackson. Those numbers look low to me

This is a dumb ass statement. Just because they are well rounded WRS and not one trick ponies, does not mean they are not deep threats.

You can say what you want about the contracts but that is what I offer.

Its not dumb. You cant label Jackson and Bryant the same type of WR. Jackson is not going to take less than what he is making now

No...Bryant is a complete WR...therefore he is a deep threat.

Jackson will take less per year, this contract, because he is worth less. He is not what he once was and will continue to decline.

You miss the point again. No I didn't not have TM cut after the JG injury. You had Hood cut. So you are wrong.
