QB
Xavier Gaines
– The 3-star Dual-Threat QB has been rumored to be visiting Nebraska at some point this fall. The Huskers are a bit behind Texas and Michigan State on this one, but the QB from Lake Wales, Florida has said he’d like to check out Nebraska. Nebraska doesn’t necessarily NEED another QB in this class after losing Terry Wilson, but they might make an exception for someone with Gaines’ unique skill set. If he visits, Nebraska will be squarely in the mix.

TE
Donte Coleman
– The 6’4” 220 lb TE seems to be tops on Nebraska’s radar for a second TE in this class. Coleman is currently committed to Texas Tech but is vocal about his interest in Nebraska. The Huskers missed on Noah Fant but Coleman brings an athleticism and size ability to the table that Fant didn’t necessarily have. Coleman will be visiting for the South Alabama game, it will be interesting to see where things go from there.

Thaddeus Moss – The son of NFL great Randy Moss, Thaddeus is fairly interested in Nebraska, though West Virginia and Georgia seem to be leading the way. Moss is an athletic TE with good blood-lines and good size and speed as well. He seems interested in Nebraska but has yet to commit to making a visit. With only one spot left at TE he seems to be #2 behind Coleman for the time being.

Chase Allen – While Allen doesn’t have an offer yet the Missouri product seems very interested in Nebraska. Allen has a size advantage over Coleman and Moss that makes up for some of the athleticism those two have. Standing at 6’7” and being a standout on the basketball court is always a beneficial thing to look for in a TE. If Nebraska wants a big bodied red-zone type threat at TE, Allen might be their best bet. Chances are he is N if they make an offer.

OT
Matt Farniok
– What else can be said about Farniok that hasn’t been said already? He’s just destroying defensive players in his final season in HS and showed more than capable at national camps throughout the country in the Summer. Farniok seems content to let the recruiting game play out but Nebraska continues to be the front runner here.

Tremayne Anchrum – Anchrum visited Nebraska for the BYU game and left very impressed. His timeline for a commitment hasn’t changed but his school of destination might have as he said the visit definitely flipped things on their ear. Anchrum still has visits to Georgia and Colorado before making his announcement in mid-October. Nebraska feels good about this one as Colorado will leave a lot to be desired and Georgia has some players ahead of him on their board. Add in the fact that Nebraska will give Anchrum a shot at Tackle whereas Georgia will not and things bode well for gaining this east-coast commitment come October.

WR
Darian Owens
– The 4-star receiver is currently committed to UCLA but visited Nebraska for the BYU game. A game in which Nebraska showed their desire to get receivers the ball and the lack of depth at the position as well. Owens came away very impressed and has gone quiet since the visit. I’m not saying a flip from UCLA is imminent but it could definitely happen as Owens relationship with Coach Williams is very very close. Nebraska will wait around for Owens if he wants to take his time. A writer for 247Sports has already predicted the flip on their Crystal Ball feature.

Derrion Grimm – Another currently committed player (Boise State), his season started off with a BANG as he scored 7 TDs in the opening game of the season for his HS team. Grimm is a quick and elusive WR threat with speed to burn and has shown to be an elite type prospect early on in the HS football season. He visits Nebraska this weekend for the South Alabama game, a flip could be in the works by Sunday.

Diondre Overton – The big bodied WR has shown some interest in the Huskers but it is a steep hill to climb. Considered a Clemson or Tennessee lean at this time Nebraska has its work cut out for them if they want Overton to consider them further. Currently they are trying to get the receiver to take a visit. One thing Nebraska doesn’t have on its roster is that 6’5” receiver that can make life nightmares for CBs on the edge. Overton is that guy. If the Huskers can get him to visit, all bets are off.

Clyde Chriss – Nebraska surprisingly made the Top 5 for Chriss earlier this fall and would love to get in on this speedster from New Orleans. Keith Williams, again, is the guy to look at here with his connections in the state. Chriss has a really good relationship with Williams but will likely opt to stay closer to home. Nebraska is the furthest north school he’s considering.

(other WR of not: Jack Jones, Freddie Pinder)
